I did not make such a claim. The reason for this high ranking is indeed the broad definition and also the fact that multiple instances (e.g. over years in a marriage) are counted individually rather than as one. That is by no means a reason to be any less concerned about the situation - I do not want to imply that that is the intent of your post, but it could be interpreted as such.

It could be that your friends feel that you don't handle criticism well, and since they don't know what kind of criticism you will appreciate, they're staying on the safe side. Certainly it could also be politeness, but in some way an atmosphere has been created which makes them avoid this type of thing.

That article is full of post-modern nonsense. Don't trust anyone that brings out an "alleged rapist" to support the point they are arguing against - in this case the importance of fatherhood. TRP is not a political movement. It's sexual strategy and perhaps a guidebook for men in how to navigate a world that vilifies testosterone and masculinity. I agree that it's not a political movement, but in my opinion its focus on personal responsibility makes it logically incompatible with left-wing thinking. Of course it's still fully possible to hold views that are contradictory, everyone does that.

Feminism is only having an influence because those in power allowed it. It's much easier to keep promising free stuff to half the population + all the white knights instead of arguing for personal responsibility. Likewise, companies adjust themselves and their advertising to suit the loud and intolerant minority that love any chance to show how morally righteous they are.
