Another tip I heard is to ask questions and make statements that relate to three things: Emotion, Motivation, Character. Ex: Girl says that she just moved and is new to the area. Emotion - Is it stressful to start from scratch in a new area? Motivation - Why did you decide to move to a completely new location? Character - It takes a lot of courage to abandon what you are comfortable with. Easy way to remember: E=MC2 (without the squared part).
