Context and nuance is everything, and those looking from afar in the East will have less of it. In simpler terms, a man "defending his wife's integrity, his family's honor", etc. will be justified to most in taking some kind of action. Not sure if I'd read that much further into it.

Christ. I just listened to that song for the first time with the lyrics on screen and it hit me like a brick. I've loved Pink Floyd since I was in college, especially Time, but it has never hit me like that until today--I'm 32. I burst into tears. It was profound. I will share this with others.
