I'm here with you, I feel you because you've described my own experiences. It's never worth dating an addict - it will wreck your self esteem. You are worth so much more. Thank you.

Has paid for sex in the past Rarely compliments you. Will struggle to compliment you if asked "what do you like about me physically?" Will tell you how to modify your body to his taste e.g. lose weight, shave, keep long hair etc. Doesn't want to have sex, doesn't initiate Doesn't want to sleep over and doesn't care that it's been weeks since you slept over or were intimate. He'll claim he needs alone time Inability to commit fully, hesitant about continuing to relationship from dating. You can s…

Yes and no. We don't walk around naked (men certainly don't - notice they are usually more covered than we are, except they can remove shirts entirely). I agree with you that women's bodies shouldn't be policed and women's sexuality shouldn't be scandalous. However there's a violation here as you'll understand - just because I'm naked with one man, doesn't mean I want to be naked in front of all of them. Liberal feminism tells us not to care about who sees our naked bodies...I think we should fi…

Because he's gonna be able to split the rent and bills with this meanwhile girlfriend. He's not spending money on her (clearly) - he's saving. He doesn't need to take other women out, he gets sex for free. Emotional labour. Extremely likely he's going to get domestic labour once we move in and that will save his expenses even more (why pay for laundromat when you can just do it, hunny?). We see he's cheap as hell, so that's his strategy!

Same. Exactly. He argued with me about the topic of the paper which I'd researched and published in my field of expertise (10 years). He had zero experience with the topic. Oh and it was in response to "what did you do today?" Me: "I published this paper, it's about XYZ, these are the points I made, how cool!" Cue him immediately disagreeing debating and playing "devil's advocate" for each point. I just wanted to share how my day went.

I agree with you OP and I think it's a really important point. Tickling is one analogy and it works well precisely because some people think it is acceptable. Men will test your boundaries, they will start small - with things like tickling, or kissing you how you don't want to be kissed, or touching you in ways you don't want to be touched. This is literally what red pill tells them to do. Rather than giving second chances and sticking around because "maybe he thought it was socially acceptable"…

These men don't find themselves attracted to women in their natural state, there's truly something wrong with them. (We all know what it is: porn addiction and objectification). Edited for spelling

And men's fashion allows them to be comfortable. Flat, functional shoes compared to his expectation that she wears heels. I hate it here.

Very obvious examples, but ones I've unfortunately experienced in the last month :) - Take note of how he engages with men vs women when they are speaking. Does he turn towards men/turn away from women, does he ignore women, does he speak over or interrupt them? Do women tend to stay silent around him or that group of men? - Look for any variation of a rebuttal against a woman's opinion/statement: "oh that's not how it works," "you can't say that," "don't make it sound so dramatic," "yeah but he…

You know, when strange men want to come to our houses, can we start responding with "no, because we don't know each other...I don't know you, and you don't know me..." with a mischievous look in our eyes? Like, do men ever stop to question that a strange woman might harm them on a ONS?

You're on the money. He wants to use platitudes to impress you. He doesn't think you're capable of critical thinking yourself, small woman brain, so you must look up to him and not question his supposed wisdom. Which, if it's just a quote, frankly isn't even his own thinking... Sounds off to me.

Thank you airing this sentiment. I love FDS because it teaches us that our value is inherent - our value is based upon the actions we take, the character we develop, the way we treat others and ourselves. As opposed to socialization which teaches us that a woman's primary value is her appearance. I personally detest the amount of time, effort and energy which is expected of women compared to men, just to maintain a "professional" appearance. The hair, the makeup (even if it's 'light' or 'natural…

Boundary pushing is never flattering in any capacity. A man worth your time respects your boundaries, no matter how small they may seem. He doesn't kiss you in public if you told him you don't like that. A man who is entitled will not respect your boundaries. He will push them, from small - touching you too early - through to these worst case scenarios. Protect yourself. Leave at the first sign of boundary pushing. It is literally never flattery.

I also know a woman who was raped (just shoved it in) and then the guy bragged about it to his friends the next day, how she turned around and snapped "you could have just asked". I'm furious.

To add to your list: women also face a much higher risk of being murdered, raped, assaulted or injured when engaging in casual sex.

Lol they really act like this mythical Chad was given a free hall pass to access all women. I don't care how hot a man is, I'm not jumping into bed with him before I know him well. And I'm not especially if he doesn't respect me, which this guy seems to be lacking based on how he thinks about women as "average pussy". I'm sure women can smell the disrespect and they walk away, and he's left wondering why he doesn't have a sex life.

It's like when you tell someone their behaviour is disrespectful to you, and instead of taking accountability and apologising, they flip it to tell you that you're disrespecting them. It's an abuse tactic. Oh wait ....

I put on a lot of weight during my relationship with an ex which started a decade ago. The relationship ended after a few years, my weight had yo-yo'd as I binged emotionally then dieted. It's a problem I still face. I never had this issue before him.

This is a good point about vetting and PIED. My ex and I both wanted to wait a while before sex (pre-FDS me, this was about a month). He actually waited another month on top of that, after I was ready. We rarely had sex - maybe once every 2 weeks. We never stayed over, due to him not wanting to - he probably wanted to watch porn. And he told me he thought I should lose weight. OP, you cut your losses, good on you. ETA: He couldn't hold an erection when we did finally get into it.

It honestly sounds so dangerous. Even without taking into account the mass orgies/sex, male jealousy that might arise, and the fact that the sole other woman who may be able to help you if shit goes south is INJURED.

I had this exact experience - the effeminate energy but also masculine traits, the emotional meltdowns (crying everyday -- in general, not related to us), escalating to a 'fight' every week or two, him always being the emotionally wounded victim by me, him blaming his "trauma responses" when there was no actual trauma in his past, and it finally escalating to breaking up. He'd also never leave it alone. He literally told me to lose weight on the third date and then, somehow, held that against me…

I established an exclusive dating situationship accidentally (pre-FDS) because I told the man I only had sex if we're exclusive. So a week later, he told me he's dropping his FWB (why tell me? 😵‍💫) and we became exclusively dating. That went on for almost 6 months. He was avoidant and wouldn't commit, wouldn't use the word relationship despite that being what it was. After he broke up with me, he still wouldn't call me an ex, because in his mind, we were just dating. So basically, this is like g…

I'm almost 32 and got hit on by a 24 year old tonight who was blown away when I said my age. He said he thought I was 24! I'd wonder if he was sucking up but a bunch of people on the weekend said the same thing at a social event. What wall?

My limited experience of speed dating/single mingle event was bad. It wasn't Valentine's, but it felt very seedy and predatory. The women weren't interested in making friends, if anything it felt weirdly competitive. Probably because there was only one decently attractive man in the room. If you talk to a guy out of politeness, he'll get that smug glint-eyed nasty grin. This was in an upscale part of Manhattan.

YES! I have recently ended an old friendship because she looks down on me as a younger version of her/me. She can't see my growth at all. Everything comes across so condescending. This kind of friendship/energy ends up feeling like being put down/criticized.

Follow up to add that I am so grateful to FDS for highlighting how trauma can ve reweaponized against us and to only share with trusted, vetted people - be they partners, friends, family or therapists.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/01/22 12:06 PM

Exactly! This is why I'm not sharing my trauma with people anymore. Too many friends/dates/partners are too quick to use it as a defense "you're triggered, you need to work on yourself" rather than respect my boundaries and accept responsibility for their straight up shitty behaviour.

I just want to point out that all cultures are patriarchal. Some are more overt (hence "machismo") and some are more covert. Not to gloss over that there are cultural differences in values and the ways in which gender roles are ascribed/play out.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/01/22 04:33 AM

Regardless of gender, I don't think any respectful, loving partner should be commenting about insecurities - regardless of public or private. Unless it's to give reaffirming, positive comments. e.g. "do I look fat in this?" partner: "no babe, you look amazing!" I don't see why any loving, supportive, respectful partner would think it is appropriate to say anything about their partner's appearance, which could hurt the self esteem of their partner.

I'm in my early 30s. I've always wanted a family. From the age of 15, I've made every decision in my education and career to ensure that I can provide financially for my (future) children. I've also made sacrifices to ensure I have those savings as well. I am a woman, and from a culture where women are expected to be homemakers, not to have a career, etc. If I've been doing it for 15+ years, half my life, and whilst single and childless and working in a notoriously male-dominated field, why coul…

My parents were a visa-love marriage. Divorced after many rather unhappy decades. I've had this situation with dating a number of times as I bought into the fairytale that love overcomes distance, and of course I support immigration as it's a bit of my family story. He asked detailed questions about marriage, divorce, employment, child rights etc in my country. He wa…
