I’m sorry to hear about this situation. I was the same way with my dad. I wasn’t taught to value his love or goodness. He was a great dad, and Has passed on now. My perspective changed after I lived my own life of marriage and family. I find myself always remembering good things and values that he taught me. New ones still pop up every few months or so.
