Ok…well a pregnancy is just 9 months, a child is a whole life. When it becomes a person is obviously the most important point to the whole debate. Individual rights cannot be at the expense of another life. Medicine and laws do not = the right thing. Like you said, look at the laws we had in the past.

I don’t think an artificial intervention on “your” body is a guaranteed right. (Maybe if crucial to your survival and health I guess it is). But the argument that pro life people are making is not about your body, it’s about the child you are growing (their view is it’s a child very early on.) You can disagree with this, but the my body my rules argument is wrong imo. If I’m holding a baby and it’s cramping my arms (or whatever) I can’t just drop it because it’s “my body”. Nah I just think people are over this type of behaviour. I mean have some self respect. Imagine this - I take a picture of myself in underwear, all oiled up and greasy with a bulging crotch in a sexually explicit pose. I have a salami on the table. - “Which one you want to eat first?” If someone calls me a creepy man-whore it doesn’t mean they hate men. It’s calling out the behaviour not the gender (unless you think this is inherently female behaviour?)
