It’s not gonna get better unless we do this right here.

Alright, I’ll get more serious about not jerking it. I’m already trying to avoid it as much as I can handle and I usually make it between 9-14 days before I relapse, but if that’s what’s holding me back, it’s done.

I haven’t actually felt that my safety is being threatened (or at least challenged) until now.

Finishing college and getting at least a semi-well paying job is a total game changer. I’m 23 and moving out of my parents house for good next week now that I’m done with college and I actually have a real drive to pursue women and learn game for the first time. Picked a great area to live near restaurants, bars and stuff, I have big boy money, I work out and maintain a good diet consistently, and I still have big goals for the future. Plenty of reasons for hot girls to want to get to know me. A…

If you’re on social media, follow David Goggins. He’s the antithesis of bullshit motivational bloggers. I’m training as often as I am able to run a marathon after listening to one of his podcasts.

We have non-nude strip clubs here in Orlando because Disney has their hand in our local government. Needless to say they seem to influence the culture here as well.

moved out of parents house till 26 before moving back in 🤢🤮 Literally just taking out a loan on her future potential/contentment in an attempt at maintaining a fleeting slutty lifestyle. It’s sad and hilarious at the same time.

Benefiting society = slave (?) Alright, bring in the wrecking crew. This society’s gotta go! Also I’ll add this: if it’s known that children raised in two parent households significantly outperform those who aren’t on almost all metrics that matter for success, then how reproductively successful were you really? I wouldn’t call it “success” if you’re producing the next generation of people who’s skill capability maxes out at driving a truck, biding time until a machine can do it better.

Yes. It seems like one of Peterson’s main objectives over his time in the public light has been to try and state what our ancestors have done, and what we need to do, in order to achieve a sustainable society. Honestly I’m concerned about living through this time where the majority of people would rather give in to hypergamy/polygamy. The polygamous lifestyle that follows RP ideology seems to be the best hand to play against hypergamy, but how sustainable is it really? It’s not hard to imagine s…

I was diagnosed as an adult, but I still think there's something fucky going on with how frequently stimulants are prescribed, and no one under 18 years of age should be given them based on the studies I've read. It suppresses "play circuitry" in children's brains, which is a crucial function to perform in early life.

I'm ADHD as fuck, but I will say that calendars are the way to go. If I get an email (on my Gmail account) about a doctors appointment, plane tickets, or really anything that indicates I should be somewhere on a specific date and time it automatically gets put into my google calendar and I'll get notifications about it on my phone. Then there's some shit that ends up on my calendar and I couldn't for the life of me explain how it got there, but damn I'm glad it does. Not trying to discount op's …

Depends. I like to go out drinking or to find something to do like pool, but until I’m making big boy money here in a few months I don’t mind hanging out at home like I probably will tonight.

the lightswitch effect Jesus. Why ever get married? I'm going to bust my balls for my entire life just to have hormones (opposed to rational thought) decide if my life and my kids lives are gonna go down in flames? Slim fucking chance lol

God damn it 4chan. I even heard people at work saying he was a white supremacist; I’m beyond sure CNN and the rest of MSM sounded their “Yes, we have a white racist!” alarms all over the news.

If you were me, I’d say to start taking life as seriously as you can if you want life to take you seriously. Your mind is still maturing (on average) until about the age of 27, so not only is it easy to get sucked into acting like a childish young adult who blows off responsibility before age 27, but also (I believe) the earlier you submit to and embrace that maturation process, the more you’ll gain as you grow older. A good example: Start making routines asap. Don’t wait till you’re 21 to start…

A good rule I heard once is: she’s a slut if she fucks on the 1st or 2nd date, good girlfriend/LTR material if she fucks on the 3rd date, and she’s not interested in you if she doesn’t put out by the 5th date.

My dumb ass completely looked over the fact that frat guys get laid all the time. Otherwise I would’ve tried joining during my first two years. I am planning on having an academic career of sorts, possibly even med school in a few years, but I’ll be doing almost a year of online classes (read: getting easy A’s with almost no work) after this current semester. Might join a frat then, and I’ll be working in my field, so I’ll have some money to sling around too. Uni definitely set me up with some m…

I will agree with some of the statements about social media and the sentiment about it, but I'm not entirely sure that not having social media is very beneficial. I'm very new to TRP still so I'm willing to believe I might be wrong about that. Depending on who you are it might be "creepy" to not have social media, but you're probably already a "creepy" person if anyone thinks that just because you delete your accounts. I think that social media may be permissible if you don't show all of your ca…

Watch Jordan Peterson's biblical lecture series. IMO you'll at least be better off than having no guiding moral principle. I'm still an atheist after watching it, but I can respect the Christian doctrine and how it works in society.

I've only had one female therapist and one male therapist, but I can say my experience was almost identical to yours, OP. The female therapist tried the EMDR thing with me, but I didn't see any benefit from that. In reality, most people see psychologists when they feel sad/anxious/angry and they don't know why, so waving your hand in the air for 3 minutes probably isn't a valid solution there. It honestly felt like she didn't have anything better to go off of so she just went with something easy…

Solid post. As someone new to TRP, stuff like this makes me feel like I can't fucking wait to finish the sidebar reading. Only things stopping me from mowing it all down right now are two exams I'm studying for.

Some type of hand gun. Powerful, somewhat beginner friendly without sacrificing utility, possibly small enough to conceal if I end up getting a license. I don't know much about guns so I'm planning on reading up on what I should be looking for. Any suggestions are welcome, especially for where I might find a good starting point.

So this question actually came up in conversation with a buddy of mine today and hopefully somebody here can enlighten me a little more on the subject. Does cryotherapy achieve the same or similar benefits as using a sauna would? I understand that both produce anti-inflammatory substances in the body, but how might it relate to the kappa and mu opioid receptors?

Finished reading The Misandry Bubble linked in the side bar. 2-3 weeks ago I finally committed to reading some of the posts I see here on trp and decided I need to start with the side bar. I didn't understand how the guys here could make posts so intricate about the mechanisms of sexual strategy and ordinary daily events, but after reading the misandry bubble it feels like I've been given glasses after 23 years of being legally blind. Other than that: Got my beard shaped up real nice, didn't let…

I found Peterson before I found this sub. Definitely recommend looking him up if you're interested in hearing an incredibly intelligent doctor of psychology explain a lot of the concepts you'll read about on this sub, citing studies and our most up-to-date understanding of the human mind.
