I have not argued the system is not broken, so you can stop pretending I have. If somebody has a problem admitting guilt, for ANY reason, they should not take a plea. I am currently living the nightmare of the father in this scenario. Unfortunately, my ex lives in a county where she can claim anything she wants and the police treat it as truth, even when there's evidence to prove it's a lie. I haven't seen my son in over a year. My parents have not seen their grandson in the same span of time. I am a victim of the biased court system simply because I refuse to give up on my flesh and blood.
