Not a feminist, but I'm glad to leave anyways.

So this is an anti-anti-patriarchy group instead of a "equal rights for men" movement? Alright, that's goodbye for me then. Thanks for clearing that up.

If you want to be taken seriously you should stop mentioning reading /r/theredpill.

Diluting the word "terrorism" isn't such a bad idea, considering it is used to excuse very questionable practices (government-issued torture, mass surveillance etc).

Don't forget that nobody should be punished here.

It's the social norms that prevent male friends from lending physical contact to each other. Female friends have less of an issue with that. In order to break through this norm, men need to find a friend who is willing to break the societal norms with them - some non-sexual kind of friends-with-benefits.

After two weeks, this isn't an innocent joke any more, it's bullying. No, you shouldn't retaliate by commenting on her looks (that's childish) but you don't have to sit and take it either. Bullies respond well to threats.

Could you dig up the source for that? I'd love to see some more numbers.

Just like the source says, not all women are like this. Not even the majority of them. They're just the most visible ones because they have the most to gain by entering a relationship. It's good to know the signs of a selfish person; now you can go out and avoid the people who show them.

Why do you want to say it at all? If you're bad in bed, sympathy points won't help you. Just ask her what she likes and go for it.

It's a mental disorder (or, at least, a candidate for one). Just like with a paranoid person, it's very easy to create a trigger situation. Don't worry about causing an outbreak yourself; it's ultimately their problem, and it won't happen in the majority of the population.

This is very similar to the advice, research and personal experience about messaging on OKCupid. However, the 'get a real-life date quickly' rule only applies to neutral to extroverted characters. I've met two girls (no love interest) who are actually more comfortable with textual than verbal communication. It'd require a massive, constant effort for them to be open and honest in a face-to-face conversation, and as a result, we usually just have smalltalk when meeting in person. The messaging se…

Opposite thing for me. Sex can be quite a chore if you just want to get off.

Get your feelings under control, try to stop the infatuation (e.g., by searching for negative aspects of her). Reduce or cut the contact with her to minimize the space she occupies your mind. Start dating other girls aggressively. Eventually, you'll start forgetting her, or at least lose the feeling that she's something special. To start controlling your feelings, emotional perception (like in re-socialization training) and meditation can help a lot.

There's an old saying: "If the only solution you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail to you". As a teacher, you live and breathe rubrics, they're the core part of your job. My personal hammer would be statistical analysis. For example, your linked rubric is the third one I've seen in my life, and it looks awfully convoluted and subjective to me. Similarly, I'd expect you to be stumped by my multivariate regression for optimizing chocolate muffin recipes. Of course, these tools are …

It's very difficult for an AFC to discern between reasonable and unreasonable desires in a woman. I was hoping for a bit more insight on this topic, but seeing the charade from the opposite side was entertaining enough.

Seduction is just one way of getting over the fear of connecting Is there another one as structurized and nerd-compatible as seduction?

You're probably right. After all, even horoscopes (gold standard for the barnum effect) use the third person instead of addressing the reader directly. It still seems artificial and out-of place to me, but success is proof enough :)

Yes, he's describing an idea. But it is less persuasive to explain something than to appear to read the reader's mind. After all, that's all that cold reading is about. So - why the "she" instead of "you"?

In the last section, you describe your "ideal" woman, and the barnum effect is a nice touch (if you're aiming for quantity). But why did you chose the distant 'she does' instead of talking to the reader directly ('you like travelling')?

Apparently, they searched for a correlation between "time of going out" (from cellphone positioning data) and "being sexually available" (from the profile and match questions). Any objections to this approach? Also, I'd love to see some error bars on this graph.

TL;DR: Men are attracted to visuals, women to stories (novels/fanfiction) Dominance is sexy to men, submission to women Gay performers are favored by both sexes, because they double the action Rule 34 only applies technically, as most people stay within the main 20 categories Porn addicts watch it across a broad range of categories

Correct title: "Having AA? Then you probably can't do this." For AA-chumps, it's even a major task to break the customer-clerk-relationship and to ask for a job. Joking around and getting the number of the girl in charge means going two steps further.

Anyone else thought that the wingman was the secret winner here? He got the girl, she probably wasn't engaged, and didn't put much effort in it at all.
