If any woman did this it wouldn’t be a whole news story:Absolutely, and honestly this can happen to anyone (being suddenly taken ill in public). You don't have to have a permanent disability to need to sit down BADLY. We should all get more comfortable expressing our needs to others calmly, assertively and immediately. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 24/09/19 08:39 PM
If any woman did this it wouldn’t be a whole news story:Honestly, I'd go with "Excuse me, I have an invisible disability and I'm having a hard time standing right now; could I please use that seat?" or "Excuse me, I'm having trouble breathing right now - could I please use that seat?" If nobody will let you sit down, I'd go to the bus driver or if on a subway just sit on the floor if you have to. Unfortunately, when it comes to invisible disability, there's no way for others to know unless you tell them. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 24/09/19 07:39 PM
These are the kind of women we are up againstWomen can also be deceived about birth control ("I've had a vasectomy" "Yes I'm using a condom" /crinkles candybar wrapper. "I'm putting on a condom." /takes it off again while changing positions). If a woman's impregnated by a dishonest sexual partner, she may have the option to have an abortion or she may not. But I will definitely concede that anyone who is deceived by a sexual partner and finds themselves with an unwanted baby is getting a very, very rough deal, and that I'm sure it happens … | /r/MensRights | 16/06/17 04:19 AM
These are the kind of women we are up againstChild support doesn't only affect men; a higher-earning woman is just as responsible to pay a higher proportion of the childcare expenses as a higher-earning man would be. Obviously laws are different depending on where you live, and one can't make blanket statements about the entire world, but in Canada for example the parents' incomes are added together as if they were still a couple, and each parent is responsible for the percentage of the child's expenses that matches the percentage of the h… | /r/MensRights | 16/06/17 04:00 AM
Cooking is also a lot easier than building a house. The most successful fried rice I've ever made was when I used genuinely old rice, which had been sitting in the fridge for 3 days (I so rarely have leftover rice that usually I would just be using freshly cooked which turns out soooo mushy - big no-no) and mushroom soya sauce which is super thick and strong in flavour - you don't need a lot. It tasted exactly like fried rice from a restaurant - perfect consistency and flavour. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 16/01/17 05:21 AM
How to fix "rape culture": Teach women to not throw their babies in the dumpsterThanks for your reply. I agree with you 100% that tone is everything. I also think it should be made clear that teaching people not to rape is the goal, however it's accomplished. I would be horrified if the content of a lesson or course with this motto was "You're a dirty rapist and you have to learn how to not be one." However, I've NEVER seen that in reality. If that is what's happening, I'm against it. To address your analogy of New Yorkers having to sit through a class on not smoking, I'd l… | /r/MensRights | 09/09/16 05:31 AM
How to fix "rape culture": Teach women to not throw their babies in the dumpsterI hear what you're saying, but I really don't understand this thinking. You can't know who needs to be told these things (either gender) until after the fact... so campaigns to educate EVERYONE on an issue will then necessarily reach the small minority who need to hear it. How else will you get the message to these people? It's like being in an airplane and hearing "Passengers are reminded that smoking is strictly forbidden and is punishable with a $2000 fine." You're not going to be offended as… | /r/MensRights | 09/09/16 01:16 AM
