Probably for a variety of reasons: guilt, unawareness of/apathy toward their own beauty, “he has a great personality/is funny.” I used to fall prey to the third reason. It never works out in the end. You can only put looks aside so long before they start to bother you. Thanks largely in part to FDS I now don’t even consider men who aren’t at least as good looking as me. Sounds vain but w/e, I know myself well enough by now to know what I need from a man in the aesthetics dept.

Doesn’t want it to look like a date even though he literally asked you out on a date? Sounds like he has a girlfriend. Glad you escaped with minimal bullshit!

LMAO. Hit her cervix, “every touch is like sparks.” Love how he misinterprets discomfort/pain for female pleasure.

Unbelievable. At least he didn’t PRETEND to put a condom on and try again. That’s happened to me. :) Disgusting and offensive on so many levels.

Because toilet paper seems to be foremost in everyone’s mind due to COVID-19, my mom told me that my dad wipes after he pees. I nearly wept lol. That’s a good man right there.

Yeah, maybe he (relatively) recently broke up with someone and they're left over from her. You know he wouldn't clean his bathroom cabinet anyway.

Can’t speak for all of them, obviously, but the one I dated was at least honest (the best comedians are). He had self-esteem issues, none of which impacted our relationship, at least not on a level that I was conscious of. He didn’t have a college degree (probably the majority of them don’t) and it’s not exactly a lucrative career unless you’re one of the lucky ones who take off—things to consider if you’re thinking of a long term relationship. My advice would be to watch him perform a few times…

I’m in a similar boat right now. Found out my BF had been with prostitutes a few times. I’m still grappling with it. When I confronted him about it, he seemed truly remorseful, especially when I highlighted his being complicit with human trafficking. He claims it hadn’t occurred to him, which I find really difficult to believe, but men are so incredibly dumb most of the time—even smart ones like him—that I’m inclined to accept his proclaimed ignorance. He says he’d never hire a prostitute again.…

I'm so sorry, dating in SF is garbage! Hopefully you can find someone decent up there, I couldn't.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
