I went to school with her! I know people probably won't believe that but it's true, got a shock as I was scrolling through reddit this morning. She was a bit of a nutter then too. Very obsessed with a couple of guys in our friendship group. Not that surprised that she grew up to be doing this shit.

This is a post from 2 days ago. Sharing because I don't believe any male celebrity who'd been possibly outed as an abuser would be celebrated by any big company on their social media. But its totally fine for a woman apparently. To make things even worse, the caption states that Amber wants women to be 'held to different standards'. It would be nice if she was held to any standards at all by the media...

She said these things before the movie even came out. I'm all for slapping down bullshit but these quotes aren't Banks trying to bite back against disappointing box office returns so dont characterise them as that. Her real response was much more gracious. https://imgur.com/aiWsEM2.jpg

You know what's really pissed me off about it? It's something that happens quite a lot with people who lean more towards the Democratic/SJW end of the political spectrum whenever they encounter someone from the opposite side. The guys picture is out there and a whole bunch of people on Twitter attacked his personal appearance and gave him shit, saying he looked like a typical 'MRA', and made lots of unfounded, rather mean hearted cracks about how pathetic and uncool he appeared to be, claiming t…

If you wanted to attend a cinema screening without children that makes you a rational human being. When I saw Deadpool there were these 2 little monsters running around for half the film until they finally got kicked out. But on a serious note. I think you can discriminate against men just as much as anyone else. Leave that 'reverse sexism/racism is bullshit' for the birds, people who use that are just trying to justify their own prejudices. So I agree with you that discrimination is fucking dis…

I'm not saying women have necessarily been oppressed out of comics. What I'm saying is that more women are now getting into comics, given the increased mainstream popularity.

I don't think this is a problem. It's awesome that a big summer superhero movie is finally centred around a woman, and I think having women's only screenings as little one off events is a cool way to celebrate that. What an amazing reversal to the perception of comic books as being purely for a narrow (predominantly male) demographic. What I think IS fucked though is the way the organisers, some feminists etc have harped on about the response. There's been a backlash yes but the snarky putdowns …

'I was wrong to imply anything other than to believe women' Woah. The ego on that.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
