Would you say that there’s no going back now? Like, aside from peri menopause, would regular ol masturbating work anymore?

Sounds like one of my friends in college with BPD. The only person I have been friends with who was previously a cheater. I still think she is a good person, just her grandfather r’ped her when she was little. and then she got r’ped and traumatized over and over again until she got into heavy drugs as at 13. But she was so intelligent and made it into college despite all this. By the time we got close, around 21 years old, she was really doing better. She always treated me with respect and showe…

No I am not trolling, I am talking about married men who cheat. And they cheat AFTER the wedding, after a life has been built, after their kids are born (or while the wife is pregnant).

Curious. Would a Russian or Ukrainian man ever consider a real committed relationship with a non Eastern European woman? I’m a mixed race black woman and I swear, since I was in elementary school I’ve been so attracted to Russians. But I probably wouldn’t be anything more than a quick exotic hookup, yeah?

Police are also major perpetrators of discrediting and gaslighting. Not to mention, they are used to being able to physically abuse people at work and know that they will not to be punished for it. Hence the high rates of domestic violence.

Thank you!!!!!!! Why is marriage seen as the ultimate goal for both HVW and HVM?

I am having trouble rectifying these facts with the focus on marriage as the ultimate goal for HVW. I understand that our overall goal is maximum female benefit. But considering the divorce rates and the prevalence of shitty miserable marriages… why is there such an emphasis on this sub of finding a HVM to MARRY. Why the emphasis on THE RING? Why is being a FOREVER GIRLFRIEND the worst case scenario? Is it the forever part? Isn’t that what marriage is supposed to be? Forever? Isn’t that the appe…

Well for what it’s worth, I don’t think your actions make you a sl*t or a bad friend. We all make mistakes, especially when we are struggling

Yes! So well put. It’s EXHAUSTING. Misogyny is so deeply woven into every aspect of our lives. That moment at work when some old white guy realizes that he is not in charge. When i call them out on their shitty entitled attitude. The look on their face! they are… flabbergasted. Almost like, shocked pikachu face? Their brains 🧠 cannot fathom a reality where they are WRONG. It’s a non-stop battle. I’m black so with racism it’s like ugh I hate it here. But then I look to my fellow women and Im in a…

Oof, your experience is all too common, unfortunately. People try and cope with their grief by connecting with others. This happens a lot in bereavement groups. A widow and widower will jump into a relationship and get married before realizing they made a mistake. Women are treasures, so widowers are especially guilty of trying to fill that void. I purposefully kept my distance from his friends though they were very supportive through the whole process. He was very well liked and respected, for …

Ok, that explanation makes it less concerning. It seems like it came up organically and it wasn’t meant as manipulation. Agreed, all we can do is continue enjoying our relationships with others all while continuing to vet vet vet :)

Good points. My comment was mostly a knee jerk reaction to the focus on marriage on this sub. And the idea that marriage should be the ultimate goal of HVW. And anything else is just a waste of time and low value. When marriage as an institution was created as a way for men to gain ownership of a virgin bangmaid for life.

For the benefit of any one who is new or otherwise still in the FOG, now that you acknowledged that you had nothing good to say about him. Will you be going out with him again?

Yes, my man died a few years ago, pretty young. Been celibate and just focusing on our raising our daughter until she’s at least in her late teens. I could still be heartbroken but honestly… I don’t know that I want to do that again. Falling in love with a man. Having sex with a man. Living with a man. Time will tell I guess! For now, I relish in my choice.

In my human Sexuality class, I learned that in the 70s/80s/90s, some women supported the feminist movement by choosing lesbianism. Choosing to completely remove men from the equation. Refused to be a victim of Stockholm syndrome. Interesting.

Ugh… my initial reaction is that that’s just like a guy saying he had a wet dream about you. What exactly was her intention by telling you that? Does she know that you identify as heterosexual? Always keep your boundaries, even with other women.

I laughed at this exchange because it was so beautiful and so tragic. You are a person with incredible strength. Many people do not have the integrity necessary to overcome BPD. You have it. The insight, the drive, the humility, the empathy, the accountability, the desire to fucking DO BETTER. But how sad is it that you couldn’t remember the 3rd reason- a cry for help? People with BPD are fucked up as a result of being fucked up (and destroyed and traumatized) at an early age. People with BPD we…

I’m just opting out for now. Maybe I’ll be more inclined to date women by the time I’m in my 40s? I know that’s not how it works, but I am open-minded!

The last few years I really got into challenging old white men (clients) at my workplace. I was the manager, so I used my powers for good. My team was super successful and happy because of it. But I ended up resigning a few months ago. The fucking AUDACITY wears you down after awhile.

10000% I got so attached to my first love at 19. I was with him until he died at 27 (we were the same age) but oh my fucking god. The struggle. I see now that much of our relationship was based on a very deep trauma bond.

Yes, of course. But it is a lot of work to date and vet and vet and vet and then find someone worthy of marriage and continue to vet. I couldn’t fully focus on both at the same time, but that’s just me. I still think people in their early twenties should not be getting married

What about the terms “boyfriend” and “girlfriend”. What should we say instead?

Not every woman is desperate for marriage. Like, I am focused on my damn education. As should most women in their twenties. Nothing wrong with dating for several years. I think the key is for women to avoid COHABITATION until engagement.

Hmm I don’t know. I am of the opinion that people should wait to make major life decisions AT LEAST until their brain is fully developed plus one more year to live as a fully brain developed person. So I think women should wait until age 26/27/28 and men should wait until 28/29/30. Just my opinion

Thank you for validating the thoughts I couldn’t quite put in words! Like, police corruption and abuse of power has been a thing since the 1800s or whatever. There are thousands of videos of police and their abuse of power. But now that there is footage of police mistreating a young blonde white woman… they are shocked and appalled 🤯

Ok so you’re planning on being civil, but only for your friend’s sake? Did something else happen between you two besides a few texts? I wouldn’t adjust my behavior in any way… you already know that the ball is in his court. Don’t pay him any extra attention. Be wary that he may act interested in you in the hopes for a one night stand after the wedding

Teens don’t have the best decision making skills but anyone else doubt that a 16 year old girl gave enthusiastic consent to engage in group anal sex??? This sounds like gang r*pe. In high school, I remember hearing a few rumors about a girl that let guys “run a train” on her at a party… even back then it didn’t sound right to me… I remember thinking that she must have been blacked out or coerced into it or was abused at home or something.

Thank you so much for validating my stance. People are shocked that I would “waste” my 30s being single on account of my daughter. Their reaction is the similar to the reactions women who decide in their twenties that they will be child free - “oh, believe me, you’ll change your mind one day…”

Completely 100% agree. My daughter is 7 (her father died when she was 4) and I have committed to a man-free home for us until she is at least 18 or so. My mother got engaged to and moved me and my brother in to at least 4 different men’s homes when we were growing up. Nah, sis. Nope.

Curious about your brother… he saw (multiple) young boys raped by their fathers? Like… several occurrences happening in public? And he… watched? Male soldiers have been known to rape foreign women and children since the beginning of time… I guess I’m just confused if you are proud of your brother for being a soldier?

The number of times I have gotten “ you’re the most beautiful (black) girl I’ve ever seen “ is too many times. Not once did I ever take it as a compliment, even the first time I heard it at around age 8!
