TBH I don't think that it's a sexist employer, he or she is an outright cunt, who wants to find reasons to lower the pay of his or her employees. Maybe it's just a simple observation that her or his male customers don't use straws, so it's just for profit reasons. So yeah, I don't think it's a female vs male issue rather than the employer an asshole to her or his employees.

No they are not "literally Merkels propaganda". And do tell me then where you inform yourself and which tv news do you consider superior. Tagesschau is basically the most famous TV news show in Germany and by far the most influental. It's the highest regular occuring TV show in existence and the best by journalistic standards.
