Learn your love languages and see if you just need to figure out how to spark love feelings. Otherwise if you’re just afraid I’d embarrassment then it sounds like you’ve already made up your mind. Just remember divorce sucks. The grass is not always greener on the other side

Lawyer up. You are not in a place emotionally to think clearly enough. There will be some regrets later if you don’t have someone in your corner backing you up. Trust me on this. I’m in that place right now.

Narcissism is all the rage lately in online psychology. I’ve been struggling with this same thing too and accused of being the narcissist. Therapist said the same thing too “I know you are not because your asking me if your are.” I started doing things my own way and trying new things and it clearly annoyed her. I dunno I struggle with this too because I sacrificed a lot for her and yet she said I tried to make her feel guilty for it. It sucks thinking I’m this label because if it’s true I must …

I was in a similar boat… she was always planning several steps ahead of me. But now that we are divorcing I’m appreciating the planning more because now I have nothing to do. So if you need a break, take it — perhaps a vacation by yourself — just be sure you are really ready for a permanent break before you do anything.

Yeah, she wanted it too and I kinda knew it’d become a fight. And I know that once on her shit list, she’ll do anything to win. I will walk away with no big fight, no debt, some decent cash, no alimony or child support and my retirement intact and 50-50 custody. So I ain’t that bad off, but yeah grass is always greener…

It’s so hard to turn off those thoughts of “…ould’ves”. I hate them and just can’t stop them.

She mentioned it was a 50/50 effort on destroying the marriage though wouldn’t admit exactly what her part was. I know what mine was and now that I see it, I hate myself. I do think about how she drive me crazy but I now see that I shouldn’t have listened to her and just do what I wanted. At the same time I’m not sure what else I want to do. I’m in this weird spot where I just want to have some fun — it’s been so long since I’ve been able to cut loose. But I don’t know what that means anymore. S…

This was pretty much today’s therapy session coincidentally. And the lesson learned was to try to be as kind to myself as would be to my son.

Also some back story, we ran away together and built a life had a kid and moved to a new town which is when I started to struggle because I couldn’t make my own friends. I was too focused on her and “family”. And gave up all my power. Anyways, I did a ton of the classic nice guy things and now I’m here.

Already did and am working through the BFAs. You know that part where Glover says the book will either greatly improve the relationship or send it packing to a long awaited grave? Yeah... guess what happened.

Are you talking about me? Because aside from the social work aspect, I did exactly this and am getting divorced too because whatever you give it’s never enough and when you ask for your own needs you’re the one being selfish.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
