My takeaway from it is the same, therapy and working on better self awareness and recognising certain patterns of behaviour which aren't healthy. My other take away is that if I ever have kids, I'll never disclose the horrors I've endured at the hands of a partner. It's not their burden to bear! 16	As a Ukrainian living in USA, here is how most of my dates used to go for the past 10 years Australian here - and my apologies to the yanks but for me and I'm sure any other Aussie this isn't hard to believe. I feel although American's have trouble seeing outside of their own country - and some wouldn't want to. I'm sure we've all seen videos of interviewers stopping people on the street and asking them on a map where a country is - they can't do it. They don't care for it.
