i think it illustrates the inconsistency between people on the internet and people in reality. it seems like half of everyone on the internet is as unreasonable as extreme feminists, but in my daily life i almost never have to deal with them. Occasionally it still happens though.

i dont know much about india except for that gender equality isnt great there. would it be commonly accepted for men to demand women get out of seats so that they can sit in them? thats the only case that i can see this being a good idea.

actually i talk to a lot of feminists who are for mens rights too. they just have different beliefs about what constitutes feminism. i think its too tainted by the extremists to associate with but they think that those extremists “arent real feminists”. it comes down to who you include really, but most of them are fine people.

i agree with all of your points except for the physical assault is worse than sexual assault one. i think i’d rather be beaten instead of raped (as long as there’s no permanent physical damage). some people can handle the physical pain much more than the emotional and mental damage but i acknowledge that this probably differs from person to person.

most of the feminists i’ve met in real life condemn this practice, but it’s a large enough amount of them that are okay with it that i will never call myself a feminist. this along with an enabling legal system calls for a movement for mens rights. the real issue is that pretty much every feminist i’ve come across denies that it’s happening at all or thinks that it’s one or two isolated cases.

i think you misinterpreted my comment. im saying that it should be treated equally regardless of gender, so if the person i replied to says this is okay that way i just questioned how they would feel if it were reversed genders. i think either way is not okay. im definitely not for modern feminism.

the gym i go to has a steam room in the mens change room, but a private workout area in the womens instead of a steam room which would mean the womens required less maintenance. the services provided are not the same. my gym charges identical fees for men and women but i would understand if they didnt given that the experience is different. its unlikely though since this says steam room with no specific gender after it.

im going to start voicing my honest opinions on r/feminism and see how long it takes to ban me edit: im following it unironically now. the mods there are fucked up tumblrinas but a portion of their community is pretty down to earth and supportive of genuine equality. edit: got banned for having a slightly different opinion even though it 90% agreed with them. it took me about a week
