Perhaps but I’d say it has more to do with unrealistic expectations on women’s behalf 😊

Shared ignorance I think. Anecdotally, I don’t believe it’s happily married women giving their friends and daughters this advice, it’s single women who refuse to accept how their decisions are impacting on their lives. It’s seen as empowering and liberating to sell the idea that a mythical, unflawed prince will sweep in and fix a woman and that women are perfect and don’t need to admit or work on their own flaws, add a few pretty images and you’ve created a social movement. I occasionally commen…

I find it sad that young women are given this advice instead of being told that real love and attraction grow through shared experience and commitment, or that a marriage is about giving and not receiving. I’m a woman but while I don’t consider myself a red pill woman (or honey badger or whatever they call themselves- way to much self hatred and manipulation going on over there!) I do believe that modern feminism has destroyed many women’s ability to have meaningful relationships. They’re told t…

I hope someone on whatever forum she posted that on directed her to a shelter, social services really need to be involved. That poor, poor baby it’s so sad to see how this cycle will perpetuate.

Sure, but relationship minded men don’t find these comments funny. When I’m out with my H and his friends I hear single middle aged women make similar comments all the time and while some of the guys laugh they say pretty negative comments once the women leave.

One more thing! Be careful how you speak about your child, I’m sure you’re only joking but comments like “I blame chad” and referring to duct tape will be a major red flag to relationship driven men. Women are by our own biology nurturers, men are likely to read your comments and think that if you speak that way about your own child, the one person your BIOLOGICALLY driven to love and protect how are you going to act toward them?

I’m a woman so mods you may want to delete my reply (I’m also happily married but read here as I work with women who are unhappy with their lives but fail to take responsibility for their own choices, this page gives some interesting perspectives) OP, right now I’d say cats are your better option. This has nothing to do with your body, you sole parent status or the amount of men you’ve slept with in the past and everything to do with your own behaviour and mental state. Here’s the thing, a man l…

You don’t end up with them, you’re not passive in this equation. You’re choosing these men for a reason, have you questioned why?

My h and I met at a fitness resort in Thailand! We knew straight away we had similar interests.

Erm...That’s true but it is a comparison for how a man acts when he is invested as opposed to when he’s not. OP is too young to waste her time on someone who treats her like this, it will hardly end in marriage.

I don’t understand why this was posted here, the majority of women on RP women are here to either find or cultivate a happy, traditional family. We are, or will be wives and mothers so grading us on an SMV scale is extremely distasteful. Young women do need to understand that family minded men naturally seek younger women due to their fertility and that they can’t put off marriage for careers indefinitely but this has nothing to do with them being hideous. Older women can be beautiful and should…

He isn’t prioritising you at all. My H is a CEO and an athlete, we started our R long distance and he still made time for me as to him (and me) long periods of time away from each other weren’t acceptable at all.

You know she’s had multiple failed marriages, numerous affairs, a child out of wedlock and sex photos leaked? The woman is a mess, I would stay far away. I listened to one of her shows not long ago where a woman rang heartbroken as her live in boyfriend of 5 years left her and she wanted help in accepting it. Dr L ranted about how she was a slut who should have kept her legs shut and that his treating her that way was all her fault despite her own behaviour. I’d say she’s got a personality disor…

We eat a ketogenic/paleo diet and I use intermittent fasting - one meal a day unless we go out to breakfast or lunch. This lets me create healthy meals and to have fun in the kitchen coming up with new recipes that keep H happy and that nurture our health. The fasting makes me feel amazing and means I can sit down to a big meal with H each night instead of picking at the sides which I feel is important for bonding. Is your H overweight too? It’s our job to ensure our families health through the …

Sweetie most of the red pill men posts are written by incels who are looking for reasons to blame women for why they are unsuccessful with them instead of truely working on themselves. Red pill women focus on the attributes you consciously cultivate to be a better woman and you’re already successfully working on these. We can be a victim to our pasts or we can use them as a catalyst to be the human we desire to become so focus on what you’ve learnt from your upbringing rather than what you misse…

The reason that women keep that face on is to prevent men from thinking we’re trying to hit on them. Your post pretty much explains it, once the woman in the coffee shop asked you a question the assumption was that she wanted something more. It’s probably more likely that she simply saw you as a service person in the hospitality industry who would be able to provide local advice. Just because a woman acts friendly does not mean she’s sexually interested, we know this is a common assumption thoug…

My birthday was about a month after we started dating and H took me to a restaurant to celebrate, it was a very fine dining restaurant, we had out own waiter and sommelier and the bill came to over $1000 for the two of us. For him at least it was definitely a way to show investment. He’s just surprised me this year with a trip to the Maldives for my birthday this year by the way, so maybe see your dates generosity as a good sign. Most ‘gamers’ prefer to minimise their financial investment to get…

I think you’ll do well. You sound really determined to rise above your current circumstance which is the biggest thing. I like the tip to show kindness too, which comes down to knowing your values. It sounds like your personal values conflict with your past behaviour, which is fine as we’re all learning! I’d say most people never really question what’s important to them or how they’d like to live their lives instead remaining stuck in the examplesof their upbringing or in a need to be popular. M…

Let go of your ego first of all, people really don’t pay that much attention to others so you changing aspects of yourself that you don’t like won’t be a big deal to anyone but you so stop making excuses and take ownership of what you want to do differently. Style can be learnt, study magazines for a look that you like (note I said style not fashion, don’t try to follow trends, simple, classic and feminine suits all women). If money is an issue try thrift store shopping maybe? Otherwise I’m sure…

I’m an executive at a multi national and have numerous post graduate degrees. As soon as I walk in the door though my business clothes are off and a pretty dress is on. I redo my makeup and wear my hair down while I cook for my husband and anyone who met me outside of work would have a hard time reconciling the hard headed business me with the soft spoken woman who loves baking and decorating!

No one mentioned a 50/50 split, not even close to it. The issue here is that this man expects his wife to be employed full time out of the home and full time in it but refuses to contribute to the running of the home at all. It’s not just “dudes” that would prefer not to work outside of the home all day only to do the same of an evening, no human wants to live like that so he needs to decide what is more important to him. A working wife and a fairer distribution of household work or a SAHM where…

It’s not up to her to balance his employment with his household responsibilities. For a traditional family to work men need to willingly be protectors and providers who lovingly support their wives, just as women need to be nurturers and comforters to their men. What the man does outside of the home is his business, he still has responsibilities to his family.

You don’t have a traditional relationship as you are both working full time so the rules need to bend to accomodate this or else you end up with the situation you have now. If he were working full time and you were a SAHM or employed part time, then your housework would be the commodity you bring to the family. This is the basis of a traditional family, all members contributing in a worthy manner to support one another. What you have is a man who is taking everything he can while providing the b…

I read your last post and was going to recommend that you read Marry Him by Lori Gottleib as it discusses a number of the underlying reasons why some women feel such apathy toward good men and how it impacts their lives in the long run. I think in your case though, you’re beyond it. If you feel contempt for someone (as you’re describing) you really can’t recover. Contempt is the cruelest of all emotions and the one way you’ll destroy his whole sense of self. Let him go before you damage him.

If you have to chase a man, he’s running away - remember this for next time! This isn’t over because you kept contacting him, it was over from the moment he got in contact with his ex. That action alone (knowing it was a dealbreaker for you) showed that he didn’t care if you got hurt or stayed around. You constantly messaging him just validated his lack of interest because now he can call you crazy. Yes it’s unfair that he can do the wrong thing then act as though you’re the one in the wrong but…

Don’t conflate an alpha man with a red pill man. The red pill men (on reddit at least) are more about wanting an independent or shallow sex based relationship with a woman. Alpha men, who make superior partners for red pill or feminine women, look to partner with a high quality woman. They’re comfortable with the idea of commitment so don’t automatically assume the worst in your man, it’s unfair to him. My husband is similar to yours, I always dress well and wear makeup, I stay fit and eat caref…

What are his thoughts on his role in your family? It would be difficult if one of you is able to adopt a traditional gender role (him, as the provider) while expecting you to be homemaker and an extra provider at the same time.
