Direct that to the guy I'm replying to. Is my facetiousness unclear?

Your closed minded thinking is blue pill as fuck. Guess what? Some people in this country don't mind seeing their income go to taxes because they recognize that taxes are necessary. Especially when we're talking about potential tax increases that will fund societal net benefits.

But in advertising, where human behavior is much more directly a factor, "past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior" is literally advertising 101.

Pretty bold of you, talking like you have superior insights to RSDTyler.

It's a good thing sometimes, it's a bad thing other times. When it's an asshole cop trying to bust some harmless dudes having a toke and he's pulling out these deceitful tactics I don't know that I'd call it a good thing (and that's one example out of many).

Yup, to touch more on what you mentioned about entrapment, it doesn't qualify unless it's something you can prove that you weren't going to do already. (That's a simplistic explanation but it captures the gist.)

"This sounds serious to me, and I think you need to speak to my attorney. I don't want any misunderstandings." That is the single most effective way that I've ever seen this phrased. Firm, non-implicating, respectful, etc. Thank you for this.

That's not correct. The thesis is actually that pessimism (defined as a tendency to explain adversity in your life through a lens of personal fault, permanence of failures, and belief that failures will pervade and hamper other unrelated outcomes) causes depression, and that by altering these thought patterns, you can reduce and even eliminate depression.

I'm not going to make a post when anyone can go read that book, written by the expert on the subject. If that information is valuable to you then go seek it out, I'm not spoon-feeding the community.

It is fantastic and incredibly empirical, plus there's an entire chapter on applying the principles of cognitive behavioral therapy for yourself to change your thinking pattern towards optimism.

There's waaaaaay more to this than you've covered, everyone in this thread would be wise to read "Learned Optimism" by Martin Seligman, the man who pioneered this research and from it erected the field of positive psychology.

It's likely that some sort of environmental exposure is responsible for the testosterone decline, Travison said, although he said attempting to explain what this might be based on the current findings would be "pure conjecture." You were saying? chemical war on men Glad you decided not to hyperbolize though.

You can't just, I don't know... say it? Trying to find good apps through "related apps" is sort of a needle-in-the-haystack thing.

There's a very good book collaborated on between 50 cent and Robert Greene (the guy who wrote Art of Seduction, the 40-whatever laws of Power, etc.) that analyzes a lot of his early life and career. Recommended read for people in this sub for sure.

Absolutely not, for several reasons. The main one being that summaries of truly quality books are poor substitutes. Self-improvement of the caliber summoned by HTWFAIP is tough and you have to put in the work. But if my principled stand annoys you, then another good one is that a quick google search will more than take care of it.

The racism from the GOP these days is mostly targeted against illegal immigrants, not blacks. There was an episode of Colbert a week or two ago that played a variety of very blatantly racist clips of GOP Congressman.

Height is honestly, in the grand scheme of things that can make you attractive, such a small component. The best anecdote I have (and I have many more) would be my best friend's dad. Me and this friend are the same height, 5'8. On the shorter side but not "short". His dad on the other hand, is 5'5, MAYBE 5'6. This man is in his fifties, married to a woman who only just turned 30, and truly looks 25 or even younger. She is one of the hottest women I've ever seen, and the beauty is all natural - s…

It's a fact the majority of very young women put a lot of stock in this stuff and will base their decision whether or not to fuck you on the cache of your instagram. That latter bit is completely wrong for 99% of girls. Including very young women.
/r/TheRedPill03/06/14 01:22 PM
6

You are absolutely exaggerating here, especially with the younger (high school and college) crowd currently using twitter for example. Sure there's a facade, everybody (including men) has one, and yeah, girls on twitter and instagram use them to seem cooler and more desirable, even if subtly and subconsciously. But to say that adding social media to the mix is going to break the hamster wheel...? If you think girls haven't figured out how to keep up the pace with this shit you'd be wrong.

Quit trying to fake it so much and spend that focus on becoming it. If you actually become an alpha (in shape, experienced/comfortable talking to strangers/girls, dress nice, etc.) then you won't need to think about "staying in the mindset", it will just develop.

The reason for that isn't testosterone or any other "innate alpha" trait. It's mostly initiative and work ethic. Anyone willing to put in the effort to change can do so. Sure, some people don't have that drive in them to put in the work but that isn't because of testosterone.

"Like I haven't heard that one before" is perfect. That is the perfect response. Period.
/r/seduction26/03/14 06:00 AM

Another point to make is that the justification you make isn't important, therefore don't use pussy justifications. For example, "Hey I wanted to come talk to you because I saw your Broncos shirt and I'm a fan" when it's not/partially true versus "Hey I wanted to come talk to you because you look cute". Both provide justification and so both will be effective but the latter is more honest. So because justification itself is the only thing needed, be direct about it.

You're in college, there's a lot more emphasis on social game and focusing on that will lead to better success. You can still practice cold approach though, especially if you're in a big school. Conquer your campus is a pretty good read, and although it can be a bit vague at times it's definitely going to get you thinking in the right direction. Search around - the PDF is out there.

Every girl is different. For some, it will be. No question about it. Don't let the ones who don't like being approached stop you from approaching girls, because then you'll never approach the ones who welcome it.

It's an interesting subject for sure, but is there honestly enough content to justify a separate subreddit for this? Surely it's relevant to /r/seduction anyways, and could just be posted here when content emerges.

You're totally right! I'm not fixating on this one or ignoring the importance of approaching other girls. That said, there's potential for a lot of good hook ups simply out of convenience with this one so some suggestions for opening would still be appreciated.

Senior in high school here. Got this neighbor who I haven't talked to in like six years but she's cute now and I want to make a move. She's a grade below mine, and I never see her at school or anything. I'm confident that I could succeed with her but I just don't know how to open without it seeming extremely out of place (like if I randomly sent her a message on FB). I'd approach her in person but I have no access that I wouldn't have to go out of my way for.

I have a friend who, subconsciously, is perfect at handling AMOGs. He just adopts this demeanor of polite mockery, almost. When the AMOG cracks a joke, he smiles and nods and says shit like "Yeah, okay... yep.." basically being polite and nice but making him feel like an idiot. Even when he's the butt of a joke, the way he plays it off by nodding and smiling sarcastically just disarms the AMOG. I hope that made sense.

Exactly this.

Here's the way I see it. If you're introspective enough to be on this subreddit trying to improve yourself and analyzing your behavior, you have enough of that side of it. You just need the other half, and then you're good to go.
