six year Marine vet here. I would advice you not to join the navy. Most the the navy personal I have seen and worked with are overweight and and depended monsters for a wife (A person who is after you government benefits and paycheck. If you do join the military, go in as an officer. I made the mistake of going in as enlisted and I was treated like shit by officers and higher ranking enlisted men.
