| 2 | Divorce and Young KidsWoman here, with joint custody - I waited until my kids were 17, 15 & 12. It’s been a bit harder on the 12 year old. Mostly because she didn’t see the turmoil as much as the older kids. My middle child “gets it”. My oldest told me a few months after moving out that he was mad I didn’t do it years ago. Best of luck to you.
