I heard someone say that the only unconditional love that a man gets is from his mother and even sometimes that's not the case.

Not really different...

Rather than trying to figure out what (behavior) might be legitimately called creepy versus not, perhaps you should instead first try to figure out what you believe is shallow versus non-shallow reasons to like or be attracted to somebody.

There are all forms of compensating for one's lacks. I'm with you - I'm not sure what the problem is - seems like a win - unless it has to do with denial or false expectations. I guess one problem could be if you're not doing the f*cking you want to do and even worse if she is cheating. But in terms of a woman eventually getting with a beta bucks guy, it's not like a woman runs out of f-cks...

Unfortunately a lot of messages in the culture that tell men to be friends first, it's a really know them first, otherwise you're objectifying women.

I think finding a woman overseas is a very valid approach... Let's be honest, here in America, and especially with the prevalence of OLD, men are at a statistical disadvantage. If you can get a fine, young bride, devoid of entitlement, just by buying her mother a sewing machine and occasional plane tickets...why not consider it if things ain't working you here?

We are living a culture of euphemisms now... So "decent" now means a population proportion greater than 90%?

What's really annoying is the difference in sex obsession between men and women. Life would be so much easier if there were parity...

What a positive and uplifting outlook I've had a similar work experience, and sure it caused the blinders to come off.... I took it as an additional lens to view who I might want relationships with...

"unickify" lol Think about how the legal system is now involved. If you're icky, you're thought of as creepy or you're at risk of being accused of sexual harassment; if you're not icky you might be making coffee in the morning with a new someone.

Possible but not probable. Kind of depends on: 1. The core emotional and mental well-being of the people involved. Meaning emotional and mental health prior to the marriage and the infidelity. 2. The quality of the marriage including sex life at earlier times of the marriage. 3. The relationship experience ( including sexual) that the parties had prior to the marriage. 4. The context around the occurrence of the infidelity. 5. The commonality of interests and activities of the people that are no…
