I purposefully wait to say it until after they do. Not for any malicious or manipulative reason. I often love someone far before they say they love me. I just need to know that they can say it first. I've found that if a woman can admit she loves you before you say anything, it's true, rather than just a response to an emotional situation.

"If you were ugly, I would be talking with somebody else instead," or something similar. It's reassuring and dominant at the same time. It works on lots of different levels. The main key to a line like this though is the attitude and delivery.
