Oh my gosh, you're right! I don't know how I didn't see it before! I mean, this is the third time you've told me the exact same thing, but for some reason, this time it makes complete sense! Thank you, kind stranger, for showing me the error of my ways. Never again will I use factual data or studies that haven't been discredited by every reputable source.

Alright, I'll bite. How did I, out of this entire thread, earn the title of "sick heartless fuck"?

Talk about a broken record. Are you a bot programmed to post this whenever anyone mentions false rape statistics?

Confirmation bias. "I totally know who guy whose life was completely ruined by a false rape accusation." "This aligns with what I believe so I immediately accept it as true and deem false rape accusations to be a wide-spread threat."

What...? When did I confirm it was valid? Other people have used it as a citation before, but I did not find the actual study. If the only study you can find is one that apparently does not exist online and is thirty years out of date and contradicted by more readily found and more recent studies, it is no longer relevant.

/r/MensRights: where you get upvoted for calling rape victims "dumb teasing whores!" Why won't anyone take this movement seriously?

According to Wikipedia, it's somewhere between 2-20%, depending on where you are in the world.

I'm going to go with "you have absolutely no back up for these claims but are too set in your opinion to consider otherwise." Don't spread misinformation if you have no support.

I'm Googling the title and name and getting citations but not the original study. Also, perhaps you could find something recent? Not thirty years old?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_accusation_of_rape A report by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) examined rape allegations in England and Wales over a 17-month period between January 2011 and May 2012. It showed that in 35 cases authorities prosecuted a person for making a false allegation, while they brought 5,651 prosecutions for rape. Keir Starmer, the head of the CPS, said that the "mere fact that someone did not pursue a complaint or retracted it, is not of itself evidence that it was …

Epidemic? Really? You've got a source or some sort of citation for that?

Zero. The answer you're looking for is zero.

If at first you don't succeed, try, and try, and try, and try - no, you don't look hopelessly desperate! Keep trying!

What a shame. He seems like such an upstanding guy. No, wait, he was an awful person. Why would you want to be associated with him?

None of these women know what they are talking about. Ha! Women are so silly and emotional. They don't know what makes them feel uncomfortable. It's up to a man to tell them otherwise. Silly woman, me forcing you to reject me and physically remove my hand from your body is only my way of being confident! It's not MY fault I'm not a mind reader!

Thanks for your replies, everyone. I now have a thread I can point to whenever people ask me why I think this sub is one of the skeeviest subs on reddit.

They do not give a fuck that men get raped. Not a single fuck, for most of them. Yes, we do. We do care, we want your stories heard. Please don't try to silence or discourage anyone. We want to hear from you.
