So, he didn't live with the child at all and call it his own child and then, continue the entire time to consider and call it as his child? Sure, you don't choose blood but he took on the responsibility regardless. Don't make a commitment if all you intend to do is pussy out halfway because you don't like it. And It is quite common for blank birth certificate or without the biological parent on it. Hardly unusual.

If he was married to her and they had a child then that is his son. (DNA non-withstanding). Legally, he is the father?! His name on the birth certificate? etc I mean, if they legally adopted a child and then got divorced, he would still be the "father"... Stupid system in many ways, but it is what it is. Most important in the equation is the child, imo.
