Start with history. Just learn a timeline for some events - stages of the industrial revolution, eras in art etc. At the very least you will be able to relate eras, and you will inevitably pick up tidbits of specifics. The great part is you will eventually notice corollaries between disparate events which leads to interesting conversation. Also, if you are looking into the industrial revolution, that might lead you to understand how a steam engine works. Pick one thing to start with and go from …

I broke out of a five year relationship about a year and a half ago. Went a little crazy and got into this PUA stuff.
