Gender roles are good. Um, that's a bit simplistic, don't you think? Usually, in life everything is flawed. Gender roles work, but they aren't perfect, by any means. Sometimes I think that most guys don't understand why Feminism is so attractive to women, especially post-modern women. It's all about power. Masculinity is a dominant force. It's about asserting power and can be oppressive, in it's more unhealthy form. Femininity, on the other hand, is a submissive force.
