Not quite the same but I had a female roommate who was promiscuous (rent was paid and she never brought guys home so I didn’t care) and one evening she abandoned me on our night out to go sleep with some random dude. Since it was maybe an hour into things, I went to a bar across the way to have a drink and unwind before going back home, and some guys asked me to sit with them cause I looked pretty upset. I told them about what happened and mentioned her name off hand and one of them immediately …

Skinny Adele vs Fat Adele would be a better comparison

I will say there seems to be a stigma towards men who love bigger women - “chubby chaser” “fat girls are like mopeds, only fun to ride when your friends aren’t looking” “fat girls are only good for sex” etc but less for fat men/thin women (normalized in sitcoms for example, the hot wife and slovenly husband). I’ve dated both obese and in-shape men and oddly enough, the only ones who shamed my boyfriend’s size at the time were my male friends. They’ve also given more open approval to my now more …

I would gather to say my boyfriend is actually relatively hot (he’s had his fair share of hookups and has dated a model in the past) and he’s definitely well endowed lol. We earn about the same but I earn more and have a STEM career. But I can’t lie yes that’s how our relationship started, we talked several times platonically over five years but asked each other out a lot and never followed through. After a year cooloff after my abusive relationship ending, I asked him for a coffee catchup which…

I would not consider myself to be a top prize (I would say I’m easily a 7 in the face but I’m “thicc” with some chub which lowers my dating pool significantly and I also happen to smoke weed and play a lot of video games, which seem to be no-no’s). It worked to slap the pick me in me Into some sense. Maybe not every one else? Maybe it appealed more to the abused woman in me.

People are dumb for not comprehending that they can’t out-wait someone with ulterior motives. I’ve fucked on the first date and enjoyed a fun fling, I’ve had one night stands, I’ve had a relationship. Sex is sex and to pretend women don’t enjoy it is asinine, I LOVE it personally! And I’ve never really regretted sex on the first date - I regret sticking around past what it was because I was in denial but never the act itself.

why be the breadwinner? Idk honestly, I’ve always just taken after my dad? I’m competitive? I would love to be a housewife but realize the logistics of that are improbable at best with the current state of the economy and how things are, so I might as well be the primary income provider? I like money but I don’t like asking for help? I really like money lol. My older sister is also the breadwinner in her family as well. I think it’s just how we were raised. Ironically my mom was a spoiled housew…

On PC... Thanks for that, I’m mostly a lurker if my post/comment history doesn’t make that clear lol. Low priority for men I don’t work a career to impress a man. I work a career because it’s what I value, I’m in an amazing industry, and I’m proud of what we do. My father, while we aren’t close, was a prolific businessman and always instilled in me to work hard and never have to rely on a man financially (except for him). So I definitely can’t jive with the gold digging aspect of FDS. I’ve alway…

Sorry, I’m not great at formatting on Reddit so I’m just going to answer this point by point: “What did you do to improve yourself, as a result of FDS?” I realized that the behaviour I had been enduring in my relationship was not normal or healthy, nor had it ever been. I had been desperate for love, and I chose my partner accordingly at the time. I put up with cheating, lying, and being spoken down to and degraded all of the time, probably because I had never had a healthy model of a relationsh…

So I’ve been wanting to speak my two cents on FDS and this popped up in my feed though I’m not a participant in this subreddit at all: FDS helped me, personally, a lot. To a point where I’m almost grateful. When the sub was created/started to gain traction, I was in, at the time, a controlling, emotionally/mentally abusive relationship (that eventually turned physical). I stumbled across FDS and started scrolling, and as I read I began to realize that my own habits, lack of self esteem, and desp…

This very much ended up being my situation when I was dating my ex. We broke up, I was depressed, and then the Mastiff that I had, my baby girl, that was very sick died. I was heartbroken, went to a local shelter to volunteer, and on the day that I got there this beautiful boy Mastiff that looked just like her had just arrived. I’ve never fallen for a man so fast in my life, he’s the best and most loving lapdog I’ve ever had.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
