No need for the hostility, bro. So, in the US, if I see someone stealing something (eg train fair, candy bar etc) I'm allowed to detain them by using force (violence)? I don't k ow of i find it hard to believe. All I really know is that Europe is different, since there seems to be a consensus to get the cops involved instead of risking your own life over inanimate objects that can easily be replaced.
Lol what? Detaining criminals (civil arrest) is a thing, but they're not allowed to use violance. I'm not sure about us laws specifficly, but I seriously doubt someone (of three guys) are allowed to pin down a person over a $5 fair. If she killed someone or something, I'm sure they'd get a pass but technically you supposed to tell them theyre under civil arrest and call the cops to deal with it.
The original post is from the UK but I'd be very interesting to see some information about cick servants (not cops) being allowed to use violence if it's not for self defence.

No matter (relatively) what she did, the train personal cannot (like any other civilian) use force or violance. I'm not in to the specific case, but they should probably loose their jobs.

Exactly. Which is what it should be. We've all seen how "a little bit of power" can turn some people into complete ass holes, so if we give them the right to violence, we're fucked.
I don't know about UK, but train personal, and any other profession aside from cops, does not have the right or need to use violence. I'm not talking about the specific case, but pinning someone down over an u paid train fair is way over the top in a life and in a legal sense (INAL). No pussypass here.
