IDK, if you look at OPs comment history its full of her saying how much she dislikes working with kids and working what sounds like a summer job? Nothing wrong with being a house wife IMO but there is still work involved, sounds like OPs just wants a free meal ticket in life and I personally would not be keen on funding that.

I think people grow up with given social circles and don't realize how hard it is to make new friends outside of said circles. I think the way I grew up allows me to make new friends because I've always had to but that a lot of guys haven't had that same experience. Women on the other hand are raised in a way that encourages them to make connections which iss where this disparity comes from imo

Idk about that, there are a lot of women I meet that I would never date. I think women are just better at building social circles and meeting more people thus increasing their dating perspectives. It's been shown that women are better building social circles and something I definitely have noticed when I see my male friends who haven't made a new friend since college.

That's awesome! Way you wrote that it seemed like you didn't do much with the kiddo. Man children or mammas boys are just adults that failed to take off, in the mamma boys example they still rely on the mom. Either way personal responsibility and teaching self-reliance in my mind are the opposites of those traits and wood working is a great way to build that mindset!! Keep it up and don't sweat it, he is 4 and can only be so responsible

Why don't you just start doing stuff with your son? It seems to me that you are projecting onto your son your own insecurities about dating and being perceived masculine. I call my mom twice a week and have a tight connection, it's the right thing to do. Just be a positive male role model and don't spoil him because that's where 'mammas boy' traits come from, being spoiled!

Hey man, was looking through your posts and stuff seems like you're struggling with some self image problems and have fallen for the trap that if you aren't Chad or 7 feet tall you'll never get laid or find someone who likes you. I'm a firm believer that you are more then raw looks which don't last and your height which only matters depending how tall the girl is. I'm 5.9 and balding and by your standards I'd be fucked but I'm not, I get around 5 matches a day on OLD and love talking to random w…

Or just show a better angle, having good pictures is important and not a lot of guys do it very well imo. I've never really struggled too much with OLD but I noticed a huge jump in matches when I recently updated some of my pictures to some really well shot outdoor shots of me rock climbing. Of course I see myself as having a lot of good qualities to start and the pictures simply demonstrating said qualities better.

I see it in the same way, it makes me feel good that someone feels comfortable to open up and I think it's healthy to practice sincerity/empathy for others. More for your situation I think it's good to have an honest evaluation of what the relationship offers and whether it builds you up or tears you down. In the end a lot of people just don't have growth mindsets and can end up holding you back more.

I haven'treally experienced this. With my friends at least we will be honest about depression and anxiety, things like that. Now at the work place or around a new girl you've been talking to, I'd hold those thoughts in but generally speaking I find my (male) friends to be fairly empathetic and I'd consider myself open to listening. I just believe that there are limits to how much people can listen to it before the call to action mindset kicks in i.e. go workout, go do therapy, etc. But maybe tha…

Love this, worked with a pretty large childrens organization running after school programs 2 years back. Pretty crazy seeing "trans" kids in 5th grade and kids unable to focus beyond 5 seconds unless it were on a smartphone. Made me feel blessed that I didn't get a smartphone till I was 18, it's too much for kids and arguably most people.

Always like to say but striving to surround yourself with friends and people who make you want to be better whether it is with work, lifting, or intellectual pursuits should be something we all strive for.

Fair enough. But I think your ignoring the fact that using dating apps in itself is a skill. Even having those things listed won't net results unless you present them correctly. But I think you have a good point, you have to have something to offer to really succeed.

This post comes off a self-defeatist. Work on yourself and on your on OLD gaming, nobody is born good at this stuff. I'd recommend reading the dudes post that put all his porn into his guide to online dating. He is kind of douche but I think he is right about a lot of this stuff. Nothing worth your time comes easy but that's is life whether it's getting ripped, your career, or your women.... be patient and don't give up

France=major royal deficits caused by a seriously screwed up tax system and semi frequent famines caused by the mini ice age Rome= Germanic tribes flooding the borders, internal political instability, and a new uber wealthy class that was free from paying taxes and having their servants conscripted into the army which would lead to the feudal system Cuba and Iran = something about the cold war maybe? But somehow these things happened because people became soy boys? Probably make for a better cas…

This stuff is so stupid, using half baked historical generalizations to prove a point. If you know anything about any of these events, you'd know it wasn't because whatever theory OP proposes but far more complicated reasons. Absolute trash

Standards are key, you should work to improve yourself and find a girl that you actively want to be with. Not settling for what's available, which while immediately satisfying tends to come with regret ...nothing of value comes easy

I mean do 80 year old women havd simps and orbiters? I can tell you from working at an upscale retirement home in highschool, it's precisely the opposite since most men are dead haha. We all die alone! It's all about the work you put into building relationships, the sincerity you give, and the value you attach to others. Simps and orbiters offer nothing to compare in my opinion.

Would he even want to see the kids? When they are older wouldn't they have more of a say in custody? Potential for abuse 50% of the time or 100% of the time, seems like a no brainier. He will slip up again, might as well start the process now.

Also degrees are required by most employers. It would be nice if you could take that route though.

I think morally you're right but you have to admit that's pretty weird. I would definitely look at said girl differently for dating someone with a huge age gap like that

Solid post man. Definitely the mindset I wanted to go into this with, drives me crazy when everyone says they are bored...it is like go do something!! I was given 3 weeks of PTO with a weeks heads up. I decided I wanted to achieve something and get aspects of my personal life settled with the extra mental clarity of not working. I broke up with my girl of 2.5 years, because it was holding me back from applying for jobs where I needed too, it sucks but we also argued about that all the time which…

I'd say also worrying about it all the time is going to take time and focus away from doing things that can benefit your life in the long term also. My work put me on PTO for the quarantine and all I can think of when will the next time I get this much time off in my 20s be? I've decided to start learning a new coding language that's good for my field (data science), boost my outdoor climbing regement, read more, and learn yoga....this is a great opportunity to come out a better man and improve …

You're forgetting that global birth rates are on the decline. Its currently estimated that global population will be on the decline around 2050.

Second that, I personally like to use things like going to the pool, smoking hookah( and trees) or hiking to hang/get with girls. Activities that are good conductors of conversation but aren't too romantically tense.
