Agreed, apparently they want to turn this into a woman-bashing sub.

Your evidence is that your wife cheated. The same thing could be said about men with the same “evidence” to back it up. I could take my own anecdotal evidence to say women become asexual in their mid-30’s and if you disagree with me I could have the same response you had to the person above you. This subreddit shouldn’t be a bunch of woman-bashing threads but of support for guys going thru divorce which is shitty and hard, and what you went thru sucks. But they’re right, you’re projecting and ge…

I remembered last year without my ex wife, thinking towards the end of the day "this day has gone so well with no drama... why is that?" Then I realized she wasn't there to be disappointed and throw a fit over something not being right or going her way.

It is if you’re my mom.

Her views remind me of my ex wife. There were a lot of other issues too, but that was definitely one of them.

All these are great points. I’m also surprised he still has a key if he’s moved out. When my ex wife moved out I took the keys from her. No reason for her to go to the house if I’m not there.

Eventually that’d be nice. I’m in no hurry and I won’t be ready for that for quite some time though.

Yeah, I think the best answer is to talk to a doctor. It could even be blood pressure related causing that.

I’ve been noticing that I’m struggling a lot with feelings of rejection. I have a lot of free time so I’m trying to hang out with friends but a lot of friends are busy these past few weeks. I’ve noticed I keep taking it personally. Whenever I feel lonely or abandoned I tend to start to spiral emotionally and get depressed. Hey, you're not alone. Those feelings are completely normal. I'm actually in a relationship now, I passed the year mark of my separation a few weeks ago and will pass the year…

She’d checked out over a year before I finally checked out, and by the time I realized I’d also left mentally, it was over. Our divorce process began in June and ended in October.

Push more for counseling, even schedule and appointment ahead of time. If he won't meet you in the middle at a certain point, you may have to cut your losses. You can't control other people and you can't 'make' someone love you (as I learned in my own failed marriage). But if you can get him to open up and come to some counseling sessions, that'd be a good start. And be proactive about that.

Is he open to marriage counseling or anything at all? Or is he talking to you at all? We were separated for 2 months while living together before my ex wife moved out and those two months were awkward at best and miserable at worst.

My ex wife had to go thru the process too, and she had her own stages of grief. She has a co-dependent personality and was more devastated over the thought of being alone than the thought of leaving me. It was only when she was gone that I realized how unhappy I'd been for the last few years and how much I'd had to walk on eggshells around her to not upset her (she wasn't verbally abusive or anything, but caused a lot of drama and was easily offended). For my own mental health I minimized my con…

I'm going to ask a hard question: Is he being mean or is this in your own perspective? Let me elaborate. My ex wife and I had numerous issues and ended up divorcing. I have primary custody of our three kids and she sees them every other weekend. She has a lot of issues she has left unaddressed that she needs to go to therapy for; issues relating to her depression (that she refuses to treat), issues related to her dad and issues related to her mom passing when she was young. A lot of her issues s…
