Maybe im still learning, but this thinking is knawing at the back of my mind most of the time in my current LTR and has me losing frame and fearing that I am chronically depressed. I was happier and more masculine when I was single but she is fun to be with and would produce lovely children. I'm torn. Do you have advice?

I dunno man, but I think you're overreacting or immature with this. You see, the underlying memes that are supporting these weddings quips are essentially RP. They are the taken for granted concepts of women being weak and foolish. That's why there's comedy targeted at the groom. He will henceforth cater to her like a child in an endearing way and it is this irony or juxtaposition that is comical.

I would think that "The Sorrows of the Young Werther" is pretty fitting for this sub.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
