K-close on NYE led to HSV-1. Upcoming date with this girl...what should I do?I appreciate you disagreeing with me, but it is not the same as if she had given him HSV-2 through intercourse. Many people are carriers of HSV-1 and don't even know it. Many others don't know cold sores are contagious, or don't recognize the prodrome stage of a sore coming on and thus can't take proper action. Many acquired it in childhood. You can't say it's the same thing. Getting HSV-1 from a girl is like catching a cold virus from her. It's very common and not a big deal. Getting HSV-2 is m… | /r/seduction | 05/01/11 05:35 AM
K-close on NYE led to HSV-1. Upcoming date with this girl...what should I do?Funny story: I remember having this crusty old med school professor teaching us pathology. The lecture was on sexually transmitted diseases, and we were looking at photos of identifiable lesions associated with syphilis called a chancre. First we were shown a pic of a chancre on a guys penis. Common site for such a lesion. Second slide was of a chancre in someone's mouth. The professor said,"Well, you can guess what they were doing." Third photo was of a chancre on a man's side by his ribcage, w… | /r/seduction | 05/01/11 05:21 AM
K-close on NYE led to HSV-1. Upcoming date with this girl...what should I do?True, but it's two different strains and HSV-1 is not considered a sexually transmitted disease. That, in my mind, makes it much more societally acceptable to have. MOST people have HSV-1, some as carriers, others that have active outbreaks. HSV-2 is looked on quite differently from a medical perspective. | /r/seduction | 05/01/11 05:11 AM
K-close on NYE led to HSV-1. Upcoming date with this girl...what should I do?If you keep your date, it says she's a priority. Tell her on the phone, "I ended up getting this cold sore on my lip. I've never had one before. Hope it doesn't gross you out!" If she is worth anything, she'll say it doesn't matter and will then be prepared when you see her. | /r/seduction | 04/01/11 07:25 PM
| -1 | K-close on NYE led to HSV-1. Upcoming date with this girl...what should I do?Hey! You can still go out, just not kiss while you have an active blister. Don't say "you gave me herpes". Doesn't matter where you got it. Say, "I have a cold sore and don't want to give it to you", even if you know damn well she gave it to you. Makes you look like you are taking her best interests into account, not accusing her of giving you a disease on the first date. And even though it's herpes, don't call it that. It's not the same as genital herpes, but still has a bad connotation. Say "c… | /r/seduction | 04/01/11 03:20 PM |
