Wish my ex gave mine back. Instead that numpty sold it off for fraction of its value which was true spite.

That we are living in a post marriage society. That emotion will always override logic in women's decisions. That the structures of society that once held female narcissistic nature in check are inverted. By all means continue to enjoy the company of women (and I do) but never lose sight of the world we live in now and the truth about female nature. You can either love women or understand women ... you cannot do both

I was in same boat, everything made was spent and made saving impossible. Now although the support payments are brutal theyre capped and I've saved more of my own money than I ever would have with her. Am million times better off also quality of life is incomparable - can always make more money cant make more time. Good luck my dude

Focus on this ... you can't make any more time, but you can always make more money. I got wrecked in my divorce financially but the past decade of bachelor life has been more than worth it, whilst it took awhile I built myself back and am financially stable with great life. Ask yourself this - if you were in prison with a life sentence how much would you be willing to spend to get out? Freedom is priceless

Everything ... and I mean everything is less stressful. Quality of life has gone up tremendously. Sure I got wrecked financially but I've done fine since D day. I date fun, young beautiful girls who actually want to spend time with me. I have complete control over my schedule and time which the best outcome I could have hoped for. Lots of spontaneous travel, and go to music gigs whenever I want - life is beautiful

Went through a horrible divorce and sexless marriage so I was pleasantly surprised at the dating scene. I re entered just as tinder was taking off in 2014 and wow I would say the vast majority of the girls I see I meet off apps. I still meet girls IRL but only like 10% of total. Plus it's waaay more efficient to connect and filter. I only date under 26 as I've found the drama and bs ramps up significantly after that age. Under 26s tend to be more carefree more focused on their own lives and jobs…

This is the way ... your old life is over amigo, sooner you realise that the better for you. That person is no longer your loving wife you thought you knew, she is a business partner looking to get the most financially out of leaving a one sided contract. You need to go into this process with eyes wide open my friend. It doesn't seem so now but there's light at the end of the tunnel and a bright future ahead. The kids will be fine but you need to accept the situation and do what's best for you. …

I'm 9 years out from split with miserable ex and loving life, stress levels way down, work success is all time high and the quantity and calibre of much younger women I date is off the charts. Everything about ditching the ex has been wonderful so far. I wish i realised this much earlier in my life but there is absolutely nothing a "wife" can bring to your life that cannot be outsourced - cheaper and without the headache!!!

The one thing the manosphere has shown me is that you can love women or you can understand women but you can't do both. Enjoy them for what they are including all their faults but do it informed with eyes wide open then it's all your choice

This 100% - modern girls want to date a lifestyle not the man, so you need to demonstrate it so they can see themselves in it with you. Dating is like everything else where buyers are making choices, make it as easy as possible for them to choose the desired product, you - marketing 101

Absolutely but depends on your definition of success. I'm 8 years post high conflict divorce and life could not be better. No parasite blowing my money, I spend it on who and what I want. I'm never marrying again so all the girls I date know the score upfront. They won't last forever but I've had good multi year relationships and I live in a big city so dating options are practically limitless. I am in full control of my time and am traveling more with fun girls who actually appreciate me so yea…

Believe me she knows all about the laws hence waiting until after 20 years of marriage then dropping the bomb. Do NOT adopt the kid before divorce that is not your problem. Stop digging my friend, get some legal advice and buckle up - my divorce started "amicably" but once I said no to her getting 90% she turned hostile pretty quick. Get ready to be slandered and have the kids turned against you, prepare yourself for battle and hold firm. My high conflict divorce too 6 years of legal battles but…

Don't go the easy path just to make it work, this person is no longer the loving woman you married and built a life with. She is the deceitful business partner who is trying to screw you out of your share of a legal partnership. Sorry to say it bro but your loving wife is gone, you will never recognise or see her again. This new person is only here to max out their share at your expense - think of it now purely as a clinical business decision with no emotions because I assure you that is how she…

We don't communicate directly aside from dealing with kids (14 and 16) and holidays. She's turned my youngest daughter against me but my son thankfully understands her crazy. I'm 8 years post initial separation and my life is a million times better. I would like to see my kids more but the system is rigged against fathers so I'm just living my best life and biding my time until they're adults. So although I went through a very high conflict divorce over 5 years - I am immeasurably more happy now…

Nah don't, I get the desire to get even but it never works out the way you think it will. It sucks but be the better person - you moving on without her and excelling with piss her off more than anything petty you could do. Be the best you and forget about her. Never go rooting through the garbage once you've brought it out to the curb, it's never worth it. Good luck my dude

I had a high conflict divorce that took over 5 years to completely finalise. It cost a fortune in legal fees. I don't get to see my kids as much as I would like. I can relate. My ex took the kids out of the country - UK is very pro female. Struggled in the beginning but kids adapt and whilst it sucks you gotta just move on an get on with your life. I used to do the weekend transatlantic visits monthly but those are brutal and now kids are older so want to spend less time with parents anyway. This was exactly me. But there is no guarantee with high earners either. My ex was a junior corporate lawyer before but stopped working because honestly she's lazy and it was my fault letting her be a SAHM. Flash forward 10 years and blah blah I've been out of work for a decade and I can't find a job sob story and the spousal and child maintenance was extortionate. It doesn't feel like it but she did you a favour. Imagine suffering through years of infidelity with this horrible person ... would you really want that? You have no kids and no on-going ties after divorce. Get a lawyer and file first, it makes a difference. Wow we are in the exact same situation. My kids are teenagers now and I upfront just told them how much I pay in child support (its quite a lot) and let then use the info as they wish. I was sick of being cast as the deadbeat dad but otherwise I have done the same and not engaged in tit for tat and tried to take the high road but man its tough. Damn ... she is massively f@cked up. It doesn't feel like it now but you're young and you will get over it. It doesn't sound like you're mature enough for another serious relationship and quite frankly I don't recommend it. Focus on your work and career build yourself up and make a success of it. Don't get sidetracked by women - obv have fun but don't commit. Once you're in your 30s 40s and successful you'll have more free time and way easier to get with women trust me. Good luck my dude

Don't get caught in the weeds - look at the big picture. We only have a limited amount of time on this earth - don't waste it fighting in court over peanuts. You can always make more money, if she wants it - use it to get something you want (more visitation or holiday etc). But don't let the process eat you up. Assume she wants all your money and no children rights for you - treat it like a business contract negotiation because you're no longer dealing with the woman you loved and asked to marry…

This ... the marriage is over and she is a manipulative b***h. He will feel a million times better once they are separated. The child thing is unfortunate but unless he's willing to go to court continuously there is no easy way to deal with a high conflict ex. I don't see my kids much at all and I can't be bothered to go to court every time which is what the ex wants - so I'm biding my time until they're no longer minors - we talk regularly and Skype, not ideal but works for me. I am a million x happier now ... 5 years out, just recently finalised everything after spending a fortune in court. Zero alimony just child support. The simple answer is you get control over your life again and that is priceless. If it's just casual sex hookups then i couldn't care less about their sexual past from this perspective, in fact the crazier and raunchier the better imo. HOWEVER, when vetting for relationship or God forbid marriage ... body count and sexual past is absolutely important. If you live in a big metro then yeah the numbers will be surprisingly high, but on average probably what most are saying 30+ for avg girls over their lifetime. The numbers are crazy high between the teens and late 20s then tails off and picks up again later on - this is from my personal observations but most likely also selection bias as I live in a big metro and don't date conservative church girls!

This. If you can pay and move on do it. My ex refused to settle and demanded everything. And unless I gave it I had to fight her in court. We ended up getting an order which was close to what I offered but spent crazy amounts on legal fees over the years - only the lawyers won. If she is unreasonable like in my case you have no choice but is she is willing to agree something sensible then think about it. I was more focused on the financial and more casual on the kids custody and visitation which was a BIG mistake. Make sure everything is spelled out to a T for whatever you want and don't assume it'll be fine and you will both be adults about it. Total freedom. Its amazing how one can go from being unhappy and depressed to uplifted and hopeful once a black cloud of negativity is removed. As one poster said previously, although I pay support it is a fixed amount and surprisingly I have more control over my money and am saving more than before since she would just spend and spend and spend. First of all you're young with no kids so relatively speaking your situation is more straightforward than say if you were 45 with 3 kids going back to being single after a 25 year marriage. That is not to minimis OPs situation but to say try to look on the bright side. If you're a body builder you're already in shape and should hit dating again if you're ready. Never put yourself in a he said she said situation with your ex. She will most likely spin the worst story for her benefit and it does nothing for you except a momentary satisfaction of getting something off your chest. Only use email and document all interactions - stay safe, and just assume you will be accused of everything under the sun but that doesn't mean you have to make it easy on them. 6 years out and never even once gave it a thought. Live in major metro and date plenty of women. When they get too serious you have to move on but there's an ample never ending supply. But I love being on my own and answering to no one and I know friends who cannot deal with that who have gotten engaged or married again - its just a personal choice so yeah it is possible

Is OP really asking whether some women can be manipulative to get what they want? And whether cognitive dissonance allows them to truly believe whatever it is in that moment? I think it was Rollo who said women are contextual and men are factual - wise words

Think about your own health too my man, because no one else will. Is it really worth it? I would just let it go and just see the kids as much as you can. 20s are obviously hotter, way less baggage and generally more fun. Downside is as they get into late 20s they all will want to settle down and have kids and that's when you have to cut them loose, but I wouldn't get serious with someone straight away post divorce or frankly ever tbh - play the field and build a rotation and keep the hopper full. My guess is the higher up you go socio-economicly the more looks matched it gets or its hotter women, as the men are more desirable the wealthier they are generally and can get the better looking women who are looking for that security. Rarely will you see the women worse in that situation unless they were with him in the very beginning before success, but if they get divorced, that man usually replaces with a much hotter or younger version

Very simple, if she has more time than you she gets more money in child maintenance. Get a good lawyer, the UK system is changing but still heavily favours women. Good luck my bro
/r/Divorce_Men25/05/20 06:07 AM

Also don't move out of the house if you have kids. Record everything if you have to and expect that she could throw every accusation against you and the kids to get the authorities to get you out. Get your finances in order and do research on her earning potential if she's not already working. It seems daunting and brutal now but the light at the other end of the tunnel is so worth it

This ... someone else posted this before and I'm paraphrasing but think of it this way, you're now negotiating with an angry business partner over a failed business. Get a lawyer and file first. So she's irrational - first time dealing with an angry woman? Just kidding haha. Listen, imagine you're at work and have to negotiate a legally binding contract that affects the rest of your life but the counterparty you're negotiating with is a moody 8 year old child who just wants what they want because they do. That is what you're dealing with. Once you accept that then you know what you're up against. Worst case is you just let the courts decide, more expensive but sometimes things cannot be…

Don't forget its all a negotiation at this point better to settle before having the courts rule on it, if she's sensible she can see that paying $$ to lawyers is worse than splitting amongst yourself but women aren't rationale so if she's over emotional you'll probably have to go the court route. But say she really wants the house but you have other joint assets, stocks pensions etc you can do a trade that might and avoid taxes etc. But again if she wants the house and 99% of the assets like min…

First DONT move out of the house. Second, file first. She is trying to either manipulate you to agree to what she wants or is trying to gather Intel to use against you. I think OP is naive if she thinks no younger women like older men, it has been the case throughout history and now is no different. Older men have more experience, maturity, and success generally than younger men. In my experience if an older man is attractive and has kept himself fit then women of all ages are open to him including very young women - 40s pairings with 20s is not uncommon in large metropolitan cities. I think this is the sexual market place self correcting itself, men are by and large starting to no longer accept the bad deal that is modern marriage, especially when one no longer has to buy the cow to get the milk for free. And thus women are having to monetise themselves in other ways, this is just another outcome an sure others will follow

Surely you're not implying that women are impulsive and incapable of understanding the rewards of delayed gratification and are hostage to their "feelz"

If you have style and she's into you then it's flirting and fun but if not, you are creepy and being harassing. Its all in the interaction. If you get too much of the former, check your style, lift and work on your charm and presence. This used to be the way to meet women, if you never ask the answer is always no. Good luck my dude

Yup went through it myself - toxic marriage, divorce was brutal but knew that staying in it wasn't good for kids either. Now although they live overseas and I don't see them very regularly, the quality time is so much better than having all the bad quantity time in the marriage. Don't forget they'll grow up eventually and move out anyway as long as you keep a good relationship with them you're fine. If you're happy and still make an effort to be there for them they will know it. Good luck my dud…

Get your finances in order asap and the call a good lawyer and have him walk you through the steps - each jurisdiction is different but mine had a first mover advantage and I got nuked. Good luck my dude

Women are pretty smart about these things. And they never do these things impulsively - for sure she's probably been planning for a while and with the economy and markets tanking you're gonna see a lot more of this especially as unemployment is about to sky rocket

Short answer is who cares. If she detonated your marriage and life is worrying about your ex the best use of your time? Focus on yourself, get back to your passions and hobbies, connect with a good group of guy friends if you can, lift and date. There has never been a better time to be an older successful bachelor - no divorce stigma and all the old social restrictions are out the window. Probably not good for society long term but enjoy it. Be positive and never neg your ex to dates - girls can…

I don't get the vitriol. Yes we know women's true nature but we shouldn't blame them for being the flawed beings that they are. Just go into it with eyes wide open. She wants to reconnect and have some fun with you? What's the problem, just don't go into debt or marry her and have fun. I'm certainly not gonna live as a monk - follow your mission and have fun when you can - that's the point of life, otherwise why bother.

I had the exact same experience but longer marriage and kids. Narcs are the worst but what you'll realise is that there are plenty of nice women who aren't narcs who will actually enjoy your company. I'm a naturally positive guy and when I got away from the ex - all the negativity was lifted and was great. Don't trash your ex to women they'll pick it up that she was awful - focus on yourself, lift , get back to your old hobbies and passions. Build yourself up, get confident and positive and wome…

Are you kidding? Have you not heard of the divorce rape industrial judicial complex lol. Literally zero downside for women in marriage when they have full option to jettison with cash and prizes

Ah ok, my understanding is that Canada is pretty socialist so should be better meeting compatible guys than in the US. Know your deal breakers and good luck finding your guy!

When you says values do you perceive political views as the same as values? I tend to see values as kindness, giving, family focus etc. Politics is more stuff like what do think about global warming, taxes, social services, migration etc. I can be with someone I share values with even if they have different political opinions. I think that is pretty normal for my generation but it sounds like this is changing with the younger gen. If you only want to be with people who hold your political views …

I'm assuming he's not trying to change you, and in any event you shouldn't try and change him - discuss fine but at end of the day is it really a big deal? If you want a relationship and not a puppy you need to accept all of him including his political views. Try focusing on the things you like and don't dwell on the annoying bits - choose your battles, but good luck!

I think most men accept that in today's modern dating scene the chance that your date is lefty with feminist sensitivities is 100%. If they're conservative fine but no guy dates a girl for their politics. For longer term the key is connection compatibility and whether you're kind and open minded. I'm sure there are men though who like the strong women who control them and the relationship but I don't come from that perspective or know men who do. For me kind and open minded is deal breaker the r…

Or try to increase your value but making yourself more attractive to a wider pool of men

True but OP doesn't have the luxury of an open buffet of marriage minded men unfortunately

This. Harsh but absolutely true. It really depends on who the OP is after - not only tradcon men want LT stable relationships and family but they are the obvious cohort. She should focus on artsy alternative lefty type men who will look past the history and have more in common with her - lots of these types have families and travel and seem fulfilled, that's where she'll probably have more success. But definitely do not go for vanilla guys too many red flags for them

The level of self awareness is mind blowing and almost unrealistic but if genuine wow. Serious remorse for detonating her marriage - good for her. Hope she and all married women who read it and are tempted to follow "feels" get a real wake up call.

Easy you're a woman and emotions trumps the rational don't fight it embrace it ... it's biology so don't beat yourself up over it. Having self realisation about it already puts you in the top 1%. Just acknowledge when it happens and try to stop yourself before it comes out but you can't change what you are
/r/RedPillWomen17/10/19 07:30 AM

Don't over analyse it, men will fuck anything including older women if it's there, but don't expect them to commit relationship wise
/r/RedPillWomen12/10/19 11:38 AM

Short answer yes ... you have almost all the red flags high quality men you likely are searching for actively avoid. If you lower your standards am sure you can find an average man who will accept your past but can't imagine you'll ever have any tingles for him. The reality is that you've lived the porn star life and no amount of rationalisation will make that go away for high quality men. So high quality men - no way, average guys - maybe but will you be happy?

Wow amazingly powerful story and so proud of you saving yourself and your kids from an awful situation. I too went through brutal divorce rape but am better on the other side. I try and tell myself...if I were in jail how much would I pay to get out, then it doesn't sting as bad but still a complete stitch up. Good for you amigo
