I’d say modern social conditioning is more relevant to choosing a mate than literal genetic drives. Plenty of people grew up with parents in shitty relationships and they don’t even really realize you can have relationships without those traits.

Being balanced is always better than being “too” anything. So on the other side, if you’re “too” mysterious in that you’re unreachable or you’re “too” much of a prick, then she will dip out and you should have been nicer

I’ve never heard anyone advise anyone else to be “someone who yearns” The fact is men’s dating advice is shit too. You have one side saying looks aren’t everything and the other side saying they are everything. Neither is true and you have to take advice from multiple areas to be well rounded.

Man, you make it sound like every single thing in life is secondary to dating women. Yeah if you take a year off dating you aren’t improving your dating skills but if he takes a year off working hard at a new job that has repercussions down the line too. There is a lot of good specific advice here, but to the OP, it’s also okay to not have a date every single weekend, especially if you are busy doing other stuff ok.
