That link will stay blue if it is what I think it is. They showed us photos of a guy’s junk after he fell while wearing the leg straps loose while I was an apprentice. I keep my straps tight as hell, and have ever since I saw those pictures.

Deep South iron worker here. A skirt would be great until I’ve got the throw my harness on and walk the iron. I can’t imagine the view from below would be anything anyone would really care to see either.

I chuckled when I read “8 hours” too. More like 12-16. We didn’t get 8 hour work days until unions started forming for workers’ rights.

Did you really just say prostate cancer isn’t something to worry about in men?

That sounds like a bad therapist. I had to see 3 before I found one that seemed like the right fit.

If you know some sort of trick to screen all partners for their potential to exhibit vile behavior, please share with the rest of us. Not every person shows their toxicity right away. Some shite behavior rears it’s ugly head a year or more down the road. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with keeping stress/fears/etc from your partner as long as it doesn’t rot the relationship from the inside out. Therapy is a godsend if you need someone to talk to, and it’s damn near risk free. You get stuff off…

Honestly, dude, find a good therapist. I started seeing one last year and it’s been a game changer. You get to open up to someone that won’t make you feel weak or small, and they’ll offer guidance to help you help yourself to solve your own problems. It’s a win win. You get shit off your chest, the person won’t talk shit about you, and you’ll hopefully get your mind right.

Same here. A girlfriend at the time insisted I open up. I was apprehensive at first, but eventually did. She was supportive as I was opening up, but her demeanor changed shortly afterwards. It wasn’t long before she used what I told her to insult and degrade me. I know it’s not conducive to a healthy relationship, but now I keep shit locked down. It’s like I do the bare minimum, so as to appease my partner, but protect myself at the same time.

Just be a decent person, and remember that communication is probably one of the most crucial elements to a happy and successful relationship. If there's a failure to communicate, then the relationship will fail more often than not.

That's $20 very well spent.

At 6'3", I despise flying. I wouldn't consider myself claustrophobic at all, but if I get stuck on a flight that's over 3 hours long, I start to get a little bit panicky. Especially if I can't get my feet up under the seat in front of me.

Are you saying hetero people are the only ones that act crazy like this?

Trust me, this marriage ain’t gonna last more than 10 years. Regardless of the sex, if anyone acts this entitled going into a marriage, it’s going to get far worse once the “I do’s” are said.

The whole ID discussion started with not being sure of someone’s age while on a date with them. Somehow it turned into gender.

I saw a thread the other day where a commenter said if a man went on a date with a woman, asked to see her ID, and she was legally a man, that the guy would be transphobic if he decided to just end things there. Like, wtf?

This is fucking disgusting. And women want to preach about equality...only as long as it benefits them directly.

Yup. That’s why I never meet women who only have mouth closed smiles in their photos. Nor do I even attempt to meet women whose pictures are either taken way above their head (gets rid of double/triple chin) or up close at weird angles with all sorts of filters.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
