Most of the guys called incels are just peace bros. They'll get called emotionally unavailable while ironically having their emotions in equilibrium. Long term the issue is that its a selfish lifestyle categorized with diligent work life, self improvement, and otherwise relaxing. You'll neurologically adapt to not needing more than a night with the boys every now and then if you have no other social outlet.

As long as women think any given guy would kill them and leave them in a ditch if they could. Theyre just too annoying to be around. By default youre expected to go through a public humiliation ritual to prove your innocence.

Its not that deep. It boils down to "huh, wouldn't my energy be better spent my career, or vocational hobby, or learning something new" and then cultivating your bubble away from things which are first and foremost, annoying and not worth your time. This is actually just a good thing to always progress in. Its just charged with the whole "actually dating is an annoying waste of time"

I mean, you kinda circled back to what I said. There's more to the story with every set of statistics, and those aren't my stats, I just saw them for the first time today. Women are also quick to call men who won't pursue them gay. So even though they'll claim it's men harassing gay men, the truth is clear as day. Edit: I deserve none of the upvotes I've gotten.

So... how is this a safety issue? I suppose it isn't asking much to just test the waters to see how the extended family feels about gay people. But that stuff ought to come up organically and not be shoehorned into conversation. Maybe he could've supported her better and not just said (paraphrasing), "You're a big girl, you can handle it". But what can you reasonably expect him to do?

If that's your lifestyle, it's an inevitability that they'll experience luxury. Experiencing luxury doesn't necessarily spoil a kid. I grew up upper middle class, went to private high school, now I work blue collar full time and have goals. But I've got a whole complex about earning what I have so that I know I'm competent. I hate leaning on my safety net because it hurts my pride. I think driving is an important thing to tackle correctly. I always had to pay 100% of gas, insurance, and maintena…

I just want him to stick up for himself. Yeah I'm on the outside looking in, but I fear he's "standing too close to the elephant". It's happened to one of my friends, he dated a girl with NPD for a year. She tore him away from us, now they're no longer together. He came back to his friends, and he's getting therapy. He got gaslit to the point that he thought them sleeping under seperate covers in bed was normal. Edit: On friend number 1, sunk cost is at play. The first year of their relationship…

Supposedly, he hasn't been able to finish with the condoms they have been able to try. But she doesn't have any urgency to fix that issue for them. There are tax benefits in the states too among other things. My sister just got the legal part over with in case my brother in law dies in the line of duty. State marriage is what's bad. All of the fun parts about marriage are spiritual. Telling your friends you found your person, devoting yourself to them amongst your loved ones, vowing to always love each other, celebration. The legal part is boring/evil.

I think it's fine for mens rights. Federal legislation allowing abortion would've never been tried unless it got overturned. Now we have the opportunity to get something on the books protecting men. If the "Reproductive Freedom For All Act" gets passed without protecting men then yeah we'll be well and truly fucked. The entire conversation around abortion will die if women get theirs and we don't get ours. We're doomed to ride the coattails of their privilege.

When we were around middle school age. Which is probably true, and that's just biology. I think OP is talking about expectations on 18-25yr olds. The guys ik in this age group are all way more mature than their girlfriends. But I think this is because women get coddled not because of "expectations" per se. Women get more help for longer. I don't think anyone is okay with them taking their time, its just the byproduct of our innocent urge to protect women.

Did both parties consent to being parents? I thought that was the most important basis for abortion. Just because a woman got pregnant doesn't mean she should be forced into motherhood. Same should be true for men regarding fatherhood. If you wanna call those men deadbeats, fine. But stay consistent and call those women sluts if you do. This is just the tip of the iceberg of how women have more reproductive rights/options than men. Also hilarious that you go to the men's rights subreddit and don…

Proof on college admissions? U.S. census website. No one's arguing there aren't countries that don't let women seek education. They're arguing that it's "mens fault" when it's predominately men who suffer trying to get women these rights. In Iran 80% of those arrested or killed by the state fighting for feminism are men. Or take boko haram, hundreds of boys had to be MURDERED unnoticed before girls were kidnapped once and suddenly the west cares.

Feminism =/= egalitarianism. Feminists get that wrong from the get-go. Why the hell would a gender equality movement be named after one of the genders? That's just intrinsically sexist. There is no point in any of us discussing anything besides the Western World because we'd all be talking out of our asses. When we discuss gender politics, 99% of the time were talking about the West, and bringing up the Middle East or Africa is a disingenuous digression. Take Boko Haram, they kidnapped and murde…

I remember going into my last relationship at a high point in my life. I had stopped the mental health treatment I was in for 4yrs and ready to kick ass. If ya can't win, don't play. Really wish more men would check out of the dating world and just focus on themselves. Work out, expand your mind, work on your career. That's all that should matter to any young guy trying to date right now. Women aren't the prize, don't inflate their egos. If we're supposed to be equals, then treat me like an equal, not someone who has to earn your attention because you've got 20 guys on tinder you could be talking to.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that. mensrights has been getting on my nerves though lately. Too many dissafected men are too bitter to have an actual conversation. Any time a feminist actually tries to have a conversation, it turns into an NBA dunk contest. None of us like it when we bring up a point and are met with personalized insults. We talking women neglecting their men, leaving, taking the kids and money? That women are incentivized to divorce? That 80% of divorces are initiated by women? Those things are all bad. I admit I'm biased, but I mentioned my mother being a single mother. It's necessary sometimes.

Right, single parents are all around worse than a 2 parent household. It's still virtuous for a woman to want to protect and provide, someone has to do the job. That's why I said nothing wrong with a woman wanting to protect and provide. Moms in nature are some of the staunchest protectors.

Well, she remained composed and didn't bring gender into it. She's right to be a little upset. It is rude, and that's all she seems to be, a little upset. It's whoever they quoted at the end of the article that seems to have a man problem. Which is pretty stupid at that. And then whoever wrote the article says twice as many male scientists are invited to speak at events as female scientists. Huh, idk, maybe that's because there are fewer women in stem. 😮‍💨
/r/AntiFeminists12/01/23 09:58 PM

Thus, those traits are still masculine. Generally, you're correct, stats prove it. But my mom did a fine job with my half siblings before she met my dad. Granted that might be because single mothers do fine until around middle school age which is when the child's performance really starts to suffer. Edit: I'd also argue our sample size is too small to say men make better single parents than mothers.
/r/MensRights12/01/23 03:51 PM

Nah everything you mentioned are still masculine traits. No problem with a woman wanting to protect and provide, a lot of single mothers do. There's nothing wrong with men doing feminine things either. I don't really know how to put it. They're no less men, but they're not manly men.

The guy trying to dunk on you could've been clearer and less douchey. Pregnancy does have an effect on mens mental and bodily health. Consider the fact that men don't have any reproductive rights once a pregnancy starts, women can still choose not to be mothers, men can't choose not to be fathers. By forcing a man into being a father when he never consented to reproductive sex, you're crippling him financially. From there, the men work longer hours for less personal gain. Men are still most generously 2x more likely to be victims of street violence. That's if you're counting benign one and done harassment like cat calling as "Violence" (not all deplorable behavior is real violence). If you look at who ends up in the hospital because of street violence, it is OVERHELMINGLY men. That entire idea that women are less safe than men is what leads to this idea that men are monsters. Classical Liberalism I think our system has too much beaurocratic bloat. Everything about classical liberalism is derived from the tenets of liberalism such as bodily autonomy, the equal value of every human being, justice before the law. This has always been a weird subject to me because I'm all for people taking preventative measures for their safety. In fact I don't think they do it enough. But if you think they're a threat, why go on a date? And in this case... why let them know where you live? Who gets "picked up" on the first date?

That's because men have lines they can't cross and women don't lol. Men know what not to say based on how likely they'd get their ass kicked. But women know no one is going to lay a finger on them if they're over the line. It's not quite speech related but a textbook example of this is the "how can she slap" video. Girl rightfully gets slapped back and the guy gets "jumped" by 3 men at once.

This is true of the women I've known and loved save my sister. My mother may love me with all her heart, but love doesn't stop people from having unreasonable expectations that cause pain. I'm well aware that people get along more in real life, But that's because people are averse to conflict in real life. That's our real opportunity to connect. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. You can tell people that they're being arbitrarily cruel to men, but they'll just flip the script on you. On other posts on this subreddit, I've actually disavowed the idea that men need to start talking about their feelings. It's a fleeting feeling of comfort that ultimately changes nothing about your situation. Our gynocentric society enables women to be cruel to men. Fuck that, being vulnerable around women just gives them ammo. I refuse to talk about my issues with anyone but my therapist (woman), doctor, male friends, and my sister. (I'm an anomaly, I can talk to my sister because she doesn't have her head in her ass) My mother, grandmother's, exes, teachers, school counselors all failed me when I was marginalized. It's actually crazy, planned parenthood has stats showing 40% of people who get abortions get more than one. And poor people are the least likely demographic to get an abortion. I think abortion is a fundamentally bad thing for society. But if we're going to value sexual liberty at all costs it makes sense for men to be allowed paper abortions.

We're all aware that by itself this isn't misandry just a double standard among feminists right? I don't want to deal with the headache of flirting online where you have to be interesting and funny 100% of the time with good pictures despite not knowing the person. Nor do I want to deal with bars all the time. They're definitely my preferred method of meeting people but they're expensive plus you have to worry about getting home. I'd vote sexism just because sexism is growing. Racism is a serious contender but I'm optimistic that it's trending downward, I rarely see racism affect people in the way sexism does. And homophobia has been on a FAST decline for a while now. New generations aren't really learning homophobia, it's already on its way out the door.

Yes because jokes are a good thing. Yes and as I've already iterated with the comment that started this conversation. Someone who gets mad at benign every day occurances is immature and unhealthy. I mean one that's segregation, two a remark and a joke aren't the same thing. We're now talking about something else entirely. Jokes are something said or done to evoke laughter. I'll preface with humor is not my area of expertise. (People actually study what makes jokes funny among other things) If the joke doesn't degrade someone's humanity it's probably fine. If someone makes a joke about... speech patterns of a stereotypical Indian immigrant it generally goes off without a hitch. Do you subscribe to the idea that people should only joke about their own cultures? Or that people shouldn't joke about cultures at all?

I don't know you well enough to assert that, I'll leave the interpretation up to you. But I do hope people can understand that jokes based in exaggeration are implicitly not to be taken to heart. All humor is subject to scrutiny, I don't think this joke is actually that funny, but reductive? Nah

Oh man it's the joke police. Or just someone who can't see the joke is equally about men. The women's door implies women talk too much. The men's door implies men don't talk enough. The whole thing is just a pretty normal joke. Getting mad at benign everyday occurances is immature and unhealthy. An actual strong woman wouldn't let this weigh on them whatsoever. In fact joking about sex stereotypes is a good thing, it brings people together assuming their ego's aren't fragile.

My man, the key is to validate internally not externally. I deal with some self esteem issues too and while yes attractiveness is judged externally your confidence needs to be based internally. Don't give other people power like that over you, it's easier said than done but it's good to learn early. I'm speaking from experience, my confidence was at one time based on having a girlfriend who desired me. When the relationship fell apart I no longer had that confidence. And I saw how unhealthy vani…

"While a company-wide pay gap doesn’t necessarily mean an organisation pays women less than men for the same job, which is illegal, it does point to a lack of women in higher paying roles — and a lack of action from startup leaders on promoting women workers." So they clarified that women don't get paid less for the same ammount of work but still act like this is an issue. There are too many factors for you to infer sexism just because women aren't in managerial positions. Also why is a women's …

Now? Supporting mens rights has always been misogynistic according to the ruling culture. Why doesn't anyone but us see the glass cellar

Yeah but I think we have a lot more agency than some of us realize in raising ourselves up. At least mentally. In a world where men aren't given support I think it highlights that the healthiest thing to do is validate internally. Of course this only covers mental health not physical health or true financial hardship. The only way you're getting needed support for a physical or financial hardship is from good parents. And sadly not everyone has been blessed with good parents. Edit: my heart brea…

It follows the woke formula of "in order to make a strong female character we first need to make all of the men incompetent." For some reason when feminists write a strong female character they always degrade the men. But when actual good writers write a strong female character they don't need to drag men down to raise women up. There's a whole scene where she's lecturing Bruce on anger, and whining about how hard her life is. Literally mentions mansplaining in her area of expertise as she woman…

They selected that character to be woke which I don't care about, they could've made a great show. But then they decided to shame marvel fans for not wanting to listen to misandry and see a classic character degenerated into a whiny narcissist. I've watched 2 episodes, far too many.

You got baby trapped, and sounds like raped. It's not ideal but it seems like the best way forward is separating. Even though you didn't want the kid, I'd urge you to stop the kid from becoming a statistic. It's too late to reestablish boundaries after something this evil.

I think homelessness statistics and men/women's shelters statistics answer this question for you.

The root of the IDGAF attitude or maturity is Self Validation. When your image of who you are is based internally not externally very little can affect you. Privilege and a lack of vanity have nothing to do with eachother. Because for every person who's proud and self reliant based on privilege there's someone who's trying to meet other people expectations based on privilege.

I agree and thats why mens rights are important, the fact that men arent the ones going through pregnancy is why we're discriminated against in family/divorce court and generally seen as predators around children. Also... It's kind of niche but there's no equivelant for women. Bachelor taxes have been allowed throughout history. Literally an annual tax just for men who never reproduced. So even though men have societally been deemed the producers and women the reproducers, men still get punished…

Ahh it's a little misandrist but not enough for me to have a strong feeling on. It's more on the level of a shit test than anything.

Men are somehow predators for being predisposed to younger women. Yet women are predisposed to older men. This is a non issue that gets made into an issue to bash men.

Given the choice between 2 evils one less evil than the other I'd rather not choose at all.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
