So are we better than them or not?

Just don't worry about it. Live your life. People don't need to be accepting of negative things that other people have control over. Have acceptance for things people don't have control over. There's no answer to your "why" question... there's just fucked up people. The good news is we have no obligation to interact with them.

I have a new poster up at work that talks about empowering women in the work place. There's a checklist of what I should be checking on myself to make sure I'm not doing. One of the items on the list was "Are you setting higher expectations for women than men?" Never once in 15 years have I worked in a place that has higher expectations for women than men, no manager, no boss, no fellow employees. It's like 10% we are treated equal, 90% men are expected to just do extra stuff because we are the …

If society actually treated them how they should be treated people wouldn't feel the need to take it upon themselves to do it.

The name is being used by two different groups of people.
/r/MensRights01/06/17 03:06 AM

There are men and women who want equality, and there are men and women that are against equality. This is 4 different groups people. It's not men vs women.

Why do you keep bring the same point up, it's not relevant and I'm not disputing it. The amount of parents having kids they can't support vastly dwarfs the amount where the parents could but fell on hard times.

Would you like to base your opinion on facts to enlighten me?
/r/PussyPassDenied25/05/17 06:43 PM

All I'm saying is that if you take all the people that don't have enough money to raise their kids, and you split them into 2 groups based on if they had enough money before they had their kid or not, I'd guess that there would be more people that didn't have the money at the start than did but lost it somehow.
/r/PussyPassDenied25/05/17 06:31 PM
-1

Think about all the people that currently can't afford to pay for what their children need. Did most of them have kids without having the money for them, or did most of them have kids when they had enough money for them but now came into hardship?
/r/PussyPassDenied25/05/17 05:36 PM
2

I wasn't talking about healthcare or bankruptcy, I was talking about how much rarer it is that a well off family has kids and then is bankrupted versus just having kids when you don't have money for it.

If I take out the garbage, will you do the bathrooms? No. If I do the bathrooms will you take out the garbage? No. Guess I'm lazy and selfish for asking to split work. The person in your example WANTS to be treated equally.

It's a minimum wage job... you aren't going to change the system by complaining, you just get fired or will slowly get less hours as they try to force you to quit.
/r/PussyPassDenied15/05/17 05:29 PM

When I worked at a subway every female employee refused to clean the bathrooms, move any box regardless of weight, break down boxes for recycling, or take out the trash. They just wanted to sit there and make sandwiches behind the line, which is what every employee thinks subway is like when they join, but only females get away with actually doing. Less work, equal pay!

You are 100% right, I shouldn't have said lying. I mean more like fake. The way they act on the outside masks their intent.
/r/MensRights30/04/17 02:48 AM

Making discrimination illegal is the easy part, actually making people change their behaviour and punishing those who are trying to be sneaky and discriminate thru lying is the hard part.
/r/MensRights30/04/17 01:12 AM

We shouldn't pretend that this isn't neccesary. I'm all for equal rights, but most people have had tech classes where females are targeted because they are female. Guys who can't treat a woman as an equal are just as much at fault here as women who won't take a class because they feel they won't be treated as an equal.

I feel you, there's a couple things right now that are similar and hard to find answers to. You can't really force help onto someone without their consent, but that's the only way they'd get help since they can't consent, so you're stuck.

Capital punishment only costs so much because of the legal costs that go into it. I'd support a stricter version of capital punishment if there was a stricter base level of evidence required, namely video. Less errors and less executions for a lesser price.

That's why you try to make it better to live in. Not say, move somewhere else. Also, anyone can be at the top or at the bottom. Everyone should be treated well. Health care and all that. How is this relevant to what I said?

"I'd really rather not get into it" is pretty much the go-to cover for "I don't want to consider another viewpoint" This is what I was going for. I don't really want to consider another viewpoint, right now. Right now I want to read and have light discussion, not participate in a debate over the death sentence.
/r/MensRights15/03/17 08:53 PM
1

I've felt like that too recently. All discussions seem so fake now. It just seems like when you respond to someone, they take it as an opportunity to get up on a soap box and talk in general about the subject in hopes that they convince other people who are reading the comments, not the actual person that wrote the comment itself. Commenting on reddit shouldn't be the same as an on-stage debate in front of a crowd, but people treat it that way.

I was asked do I support it in other cases. I said yes, I do support it in other cases. I expected that to be the end of it.
/r/MensRights15/03/17 06:49 PM

Yes great, I didn't really want to get into it. I keep trying to say that but you people just keep going "ya but what if this". I just really don't care enough to discuss it.
/r/MensRights15/03/17 06:10 PM
8

Do you agree with the death penalty on other things, such as murder? This is what I was asked. I tried to say yes in a way where I wouldn't want to explain nuances because I don't feel like doing it on reddit.
/r/MensRights15/03/17 05:44 PM

I wouldn't argue that. There are ways for these people to get out of their situation. If you are free enough to go to the store and buy a gun and wait at your house for him to come home, you are free enough to get real help for yourself in a different way. I purposely tried to give an answer that was vague so we wouldn't have to spend time talking about each minor nuance.
/r/MensRights15/03/17 05:38 PM

Kind of a vague question, but if by murder you mean someone chose to buy a gun to go shoot someone, then yes. Other things, maybe not. If you are choosing to go out of your way to end someone's life, then usually I would agree with death penalty for those cases.
/r/MensRights15/03/17 05:05 PM

Once you choose to rape kids you kind of give up your chance to live in our society, good on texas.

They are children, sorry. Just because a state says 16 year olds can have sex doesn't mean they are fully matured human beings. Every teacher knows that they can't have relationships with students or else you are fired and will go to jail, it's not a surprise. So when they do it anyway, that's their choice.

One is two dollars worth of candy, one is raping 3 of her school children. I understand your point, but you aren't convincing me that the latter isn't worth 30 years.
/r/PussyPassDenied05/02/17 06:38 PM

It's crazy that somebody could essentially lose their whole life for sleeping with three 16/17 year old students. No it isn't.
/r/PussyPassDenied05/02/17 12:42 PM

If you don't want to go to jail for 30 years, just don't have sex with your schoolchildren. What's disgusting about that?

When I say benefits I don't mean "freebies that married people get", I mean things like considering two salaries as one for purpose of taxes or food stamps, or beimg considered as family so you can see them in the hospital if they get in an accident. These aren't thing we should just remove because religious people don't want their word for marriage to be confused. /r/PussyPassDenied31/01/17 03:25 PM
2

You are equivocating different ideas and concepts together, and taking the good points from one view and the bad points from another. The real issue is what legal rights people who are "married" have. Guarantee no one actually cares if some other religion doesn't think their marriage is real as long as everyone gets equal benefits for being with their partner of choice.
/r/PussyPassDenied31/01/17 01:23 PM

There are no legitimate reasons to not allow two consenting homosexuals to marry. Homophobia refers to dislike, fear, OR prejudice for them.

No evidence so we must assume that she didn't do it? I don't buy it. You can buy it if you want, but I don't.
/r/PussyPassDenied20/12/16 03:28 PM

I know I'm in the minority here, but I disagree with her not getting the money. If he married her for the sex, and she married him for the money, that's their agreement and it's a common one. I don't like it, but I think they are both in the wrong. This isn't a one-sided thing. It seemed they both wanted part of this deceptive marriage, and he backed out of his side before he died without telling her.
/r/PussyPassDenied20/12/16 03:20 PM

ooo so when my teacher tells the women in class to look at the men and assume that at least 1 of the 20 guys in there are rapists, she isn't actually calling me part of the patriarchy? The looks didn't make me feel good.

If she was uncomfortable why did he just park and go to her house? Why not get back in the car and drive away? Call the police? IDK. If there's some creepy guy outside watching you park, and sees you go to your house at 4:15 AM, what's to stop him from just trying to break into your house?
/r/PussyPassDenied26/09/16 03:25 PM

If this worked once everyone would start doing it to park for free wherever they wanted. This is why we treat everyone equally, the world needs to operate in a way where if everyone does what the rules say there is no problems.

If a parent allows any kid to be locked in a room to only do a single thing for their whole life as a child, there is a chance they are going to be fucked up. If it's a kid with Asperger's and the game happens to be call of a duty, that still applies. Getting parent's to raise their children better would stop more of these issues than blanket banning things you are afraid of would.
/r/PussyPassDenied17/09/16 02:18 AM

Doesn't help that these same people are being told to continue breeding as many kids as they can, don't use condoms, abortions are bad no matter what, and the instant your kid is old enough to think you need to start brain washing them with the same ideals.
