What are these sites and how do we check if we are on them? I had no idea this was a thing

An old boyfriend of mine didn’t like me to do playful smacks to his butt for the same reason. I respected it because I could tell he clearly had issues, but thought it was bizarre.

You just brought to mind a situation I had when I was a young high schooler. I was at a football game in the band, and a young woman with cellulite walked by in a cute outfit. Right as I was thinking “she looks like me. if she can look nice and be accepted then so can I,” my friend right next to me was telling another girl how awful her cellulite was and how she shouldn’t be wearing the outfit. It just destroyed the little confidence I had gotten from seeing that woman. And I couldn’t even be ma…

This is so true. They’re literally alone in their room watching other people have sex. What is more creepy

I’ve been feeling exactly the same way. I took myself to the movies a little while back and it was just so pleasant!

I’m sorry, my wording was confusing. his dads ex is crazy. She plays mind games on the daughter (my ex’s half sister) all the time.

I think he will miss her just enough to see her sometimes. He can go days and doesn’t mind. He won’t change his act just from me dropping off, I’ve tried. Sucks. But really even when things are good, I still need help. My daughter makes it very hard to get school work done, she’s at a needy age. I think I have some kind of focusing problem too, which doesn’t help. But we will get through it. I’m determined to pull us out of this and be able to stop struggling one day.

I’m going to start asking that he does that at least when he doesn’t want to do his part.

He does want to see her, and most of the time (recently), he sticks with the schedule, but it’s very often that he doesn’t and basically tells me to fuck off. I don’t think he’d ever want me to just take off with her now. It’s very confusing because he acts like he loves her, and I believe he does, but he doesn’t think his responsibility to her correlates in any way to that love. I tried just sending her when he wanted before, but then what does anyone get out of that? He gets to feel like a goo…

I don’t doubt emotionally, but physically is a bit of a stretch. Maybe he watches too much tv instead of paying quality attention to her, but I don’t think he endangers her physically at all. But I agree I shouldn’t be chasing him. It’s just hard because I honestly need the help a lot.

Thank you so much. This is exactly the sort of advice I was looking for. I wish I could get some sort of childcare going, but he’s living paycheck to paycheck right now as it is. I have no idea how he’d pay for it. It’d eat up any money I made at work, which is why we decided I should stay home in the beginning. Do you think it’s still wise to try to get a job and childcare under these circumstances, or would that hurt my alimony rate?

I’m definitely going for a consultation soon, I’m hoping it can help me decide what my best course is. My thing is that if it’s not consistent, reliable, and decent parenting, then I’d rather just do it myself. I know that my ex will take good care of her any time he has her, but if he’s going to not show up every now and then just to throw his weight around, I’d rather do it alone. I don’t need his manipulation or disrespect and my daughter doesn’t need a dad who misses his limited time with he…

Thanks. I’ve decided that I will not hide anything from her, one day she will know everything he’s done to us, because it’s also been to her and I feel that she has a right to know. My parents hid so much from me and I hated them both for the lies and what they lied about for a very long time. I have a hard time knowing that she will probably love him though. And I will probably be hated for having to discipline alone. He’s a very charismatic, lovable person (as long as I don’t make him mad), an…

This is why I’m trying to decide if it’s smart for me to divorce or not. If it won’t make any difference, then maybe I should just shut down from him and act like he doesn’t exist while I get to keep full access to my daughter and ride on his money for school as long as I can. It may be smarter for me to stay and just deal with the little help I get while I’m in this difficult position.

Well, his dad makes a lot of money, and he has a crazy Ex wife who has taken him to court for their daughter like 10 times I think. The lawyer would absolutely work for him again. I’m definitely going to have to do everything in secret. Thank you for the link

I think I’m going to try to. I don’t know how I’ll pay for it but I’m going to try to reach out for help soon. None of my family knows because in the beginning I was so ashamed, then I felt sorry for him, then I was hopeful he’d come back, and recently he has been making strides for the better, but I’m starting to see that while he does act less crazy than he used to, he still has so much work to do underneath that he may never do. It’s been almost a year now. It’s going to suck but I think I’ve…

I’m definitely going to look into it, but I’m not sure how I’ll pay for even the consultations to compete with this supposedly amazing lawyer his dad has that I’ve heard about so many times. I’m going to look around thanks to your suggestion, but I’m worried that the lawyers that don’t charge for their consultations won’t be enough to compete with this guy. Thank you so much for your advice

If I were divorced from him, I don’t know how I could make ends meet. He pays for everything. I have a part time family gig right now but it only pays $400/month. It would likely mean that I’d have to get a real job, and miss a lot of time with my daughter, which would require childcare which would eat up most of the money I made at my job. Don’t get me wrong, I want to get away from him, and hold him accountable, but I’m already living in my own apartment that he pays for. I know that I earn mo…

I don’t think he was but, I DO think he always had the issues that lead him to turn like this when we came up on marriage though. He had a shitty childhood and his parents made harmful decisions. I remember before marriage, I had never been loved (and I don’t mean infatuated, he showed me true acts of love and acceptance) like that before and I can always tell when someone’s not being genuine. I started to subconsciously notice things were going wrong when a close family member of his died. (It’…

What’s funny is that a lot of these guys KNOW that there are a lot of women out there who are DTF. It’s just that most of them don’t look like insta models. They most often look a little lower than average (not all of them, I’ve just noticed a trend). There’s a lot of freaky women out there. But they like to pretend those girls don’t exist, and whine to/about the women that don’t want them.
