The reason people always say "think of the women and children" is because we perceive women as being helpless, like children.

Hey, buddy, actually, you were strawmanning culturally_lost. They were using anecdotal evidence against you. Let's just get which of you is using which logical fallacy straight.

1% of Fortune 500 CEOs are women. Zero Presidents have been women. When you say that women "control 51.3% of personal wealth" this relates to spending decisions: anyone who has worked in retail knows that women make most household purchasing decisions. From the article you cited, 66% of those beneath the poverty line are women. According to Wikipedia, there is a substantial income gap between men and women. But even so, to say that women control half the wealth or live seven years younger does n…

Men are ... trivialized to the margins of liberty and life Really? Do you honestly feel like the treatment of men by society is trivializing them? They have all the best jobs, they own most of the money, they have all the important jobs. Vastly more shows star men than women. How exactly are men "trivialized to the margins of liberty and life"?

Can't you see that it's in fact the exact opposite. Saying "man up" means "be a man" and implies that it's a good thing. Saying "stop being a little girl" means "don't be a girl" and implies that femininity is bad. They are the exact opposite.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to misconstrue your comments. Also, I apologize: I didn't realize this was the Men's Rights subreddit, as I was replying from my Messages screen. But it seems strange to me that you would not want to have this discussion here, of all places: what better place to argue your point? Nevertheless, I won't continue to pester you. I just thought it was funny we both got banned from that subreddit for being feminists, or, in your case, a suspected feminist. Lol. Have a nice wee…

I disagree. When you say that you should be able to switch the genders and races of people and have it still sound correct, that's just fundamentally out of line with reality. It doesn't sound right to say "men have a menstrual cycle" or "isn't it crazy that every single President of the country has been a woman?" With race, if you say "the average white person has one-seventh the wealth of the average black person, because white people were held as slaves, denied government loans, and were proh…

Haha, I got randomly banned from that subreddit, too! I was like, "There's a MaleStudies subreddit?" And I love that he thinks you have a fake account, but is banning you it, like you couldn't just create another fake account. This is a great way to tell the difference between someone who's interested in having a conversation, and someone who's wanting to spread propaganda and advance only their own viewpoints. Over in r/MaleStudies, they don't want anyone who doesn't already agree with them. (r…

Later, on Reddit: "Let me rephrase the question: Can you find one case of an underage female charged with statutory rape of a younger male, who is then convicted and not chosen in the NFL draft?"

The first one isn't shameful. I was talking to a guy who thought he was better because he had a penis. I deleted the second comment. You're right. It was because I was getting frustrated, having to deal with the same tired arguments from multiple people at one. I tried to exit with a joke. It was wrong of me. However, I was not arguing with someone who thought men had rights. I was arguing with someone who was saying women should stay in the home, not work, and that women attempting to do that w…

It's crazy that all 43 US Presidents have been women.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
