The most reasonable comment on here. It’s fairly simple. This subreddit has become a sounding board for men who don’t get the sex they think they deserve and women who don’t get the love they think they deserve. They’re both bitter, and it makes them both cruel in their own ways.

Okay, then please explain to me why this phenomenon hasn’t hit the third world, where financial hopelessness is the only life they’ve ever known? Because we are raised with hope and them without it? Genuinely interested in the perceived connection between the two phenomena because while statistics show that being economically disenfranchised does prevent couples from getting married, I’ve never seen any statistics that show that it stops couples from even forming let alone cohabitating.

That’s why you’re single? Because it was easier for your grandfather to buy a house than it is for you? OP is blaming these factors for the lack of interest in marriage. I’m offering an alternative on what is causing the lack of interest in marriage. Considering two incomes makes it significantly easier to afford rent or a mortgage.

Easier to buy a house or to afford rent as a married couple than as a single person. I understand the argument that people are too discouraged to put in as much effort, but I think it’s actually counterintuitive if their goal is to have what their parents did (or more). I honestly think it’s just that we have too many distractions in our societies now. The most technologically advanced civilizations are experiencing this because we’re more sedentary than ever and technology is consuming more of …

That’s definitely not true though. I know someone who is making a lot of money in NYC, 6’2”, and good looking and he’s given up on dating because he could only get dates with average or below average women who still treated him as just another option to play games with.

It all boils down to social skills. They’re an essential part of life, but not an essential part of most jobs in the STEM fields. The focus is on communicating requirements and there is very little need to build relationships. As someone who works in STEM, I see a lot of people in technical roles like myself undervaluing or straight up looking down on the non-technical people they work with, but they should be learning from them. If you develop most of the social skills that the non-technical pe…

You’re fooling yourself. Sugar dating isn’t dating at all. You’re paying someone for their time, interest, and sex with no goal of a relationship. It’s being loyal to your favorite prostitute/John.

First of all, it wasn’t terrible, I love every time I get to have sex with the love of my life. Second, it’s never an expectation, if one of us said a firm no then the other accepts it without persistence obviously. It’s consensually trying to meet your partner’s needs because you love them. Of course it’s always a choice and there’s no coercion involved, but we make the choice for the other person out of love.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/23 03:01 AM
3

Insisting when someone really doesn’t want to isn’t okay. That’s not consent. That’s not what I’m saying at all. I’m talking about when you’re like “meh, not right now”. It’s offering consent out of mutual love for one another. It’s not terrible when you truly love the other person, and sympathize with the fact that desires don’t always sync up.

I had Dengue fever once earlier this year and was in bad shape. The symptoms had just started showing and I had no clue what was wrong, just that I was in immense joint pain and getting insane dizzy spells. My fiancé was ovulating and really wanted to have sex. I didn’t want to move, but I still gave the maximum effort I was able to muster for her. She has done the same for me when she wasn’t 100% in the mood but I wanted it. That’s part of a healthy relationship, making sacrifices so your partn…

I wouldn’t give you this advice if it didn’t work for me. I met my fiancé on a dating app I was having limited success on while I was making friends and meeting women in person. I technically met her a month before I was done with the last woman I’d met in a bar. It’s the same way I’ve met people since I was 17 and left for college when I was in shape and way more outgoing than I am now. I have a friend with crippling social anxiety, in high school, he was fat, not great looking, and being bulli…

Why do you post on here? Do you want pity? Just to disparage women for not liking you as much as other men? Or to understand how other people view the modern relationship landscape? You should think about that, because most men go through the same shit as you. Adapt and survive, or fap yourself to sleep every night thinking about how unfair the hand you were dealt is. I guess I’ll stop trying to give tangible solutions that the rest of humanity has used since we stopped bartering for wives to so…

If you have only socially isolating interests, then you will be socially isolated. You follow that logic, yes? Online dating offered men some hope of finding someone without having to develop social skills, but men have found out that even well-adjusted average to above-average looking men have no chance as long as the top 20% of men (probably more like 10%) are maintaining a roster of women who are hoping that guy will magically fall in love with them and pick them while he refuses to commit an…

It’s not just get good. Just make friends. It’s a concept that is easy af for most men that we’ve been doing since we’re kids. It’s no different as an adult. Easier if anything with booze involved. You have to learn that skill before you try talking to women anyway.

That’s why you keep making friends. Even shallow friendships you know won’t last. You go with people and meet the people they bring or they run into that they know. You expand your friend circle and meet new people through it.

Who acts like that? I hear this a lot on here, but it seems like people just don’t know how to organically meet someone. Women are just as sick of the online dating grind as men unless they’re a narcissist who is in it for the attention and validation it gives them. Go to a bar with communal seating instead of, or as well as, individual small tables. Go with friends so you don’t look like a man just hunting for sex. Talk to the people around you if they seem receptive, keep doing this until you …

I’ve never met a man who is emasculated by his wife making more money than him, only met women who think they deserve better or at least the ability to belittle or emasculate their husbands because they make more. I’m sure men like you described exist, but like women who emasculate their men for making less than them, it’s a pretty small minority. So that pressure only exists in your perception and is in no way a standard set by men.

Offshoot communities sprung up from other things like the Trad movement or PUAs that have entangled themselves with red pill principles. The red pill is just acknowledging that what you’ve been told your whole life about attracting women is a lie, hence the name. Don’t just be yourself, be the version of yourself that women are interested in.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 06:05 PM

I never said anything about true realities. The red pill is based in settled biological fact. Most of the offshoot opinion-based groups that stemmed from the red pill are not.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/23 03:03 PM

I don’t think red pill is a conspiracy, because it’s undoubtedly based in truth. I think it’s a gateway extremist ideology because people spend all of their time going deeper and deeper into it until they’re reading black pill content. It starts with “take care of yourself” and “lead her”. Before you know it you’re convinced that you’ll never get laid because you’re an Asian man.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/23 02:14 PM

Yeah the common thread about anyone with extremist beliefs of any kind these days is that they’re over-exposed to the internet and that they don’t believe that their belief system is extreme. Red pill is no different, modern western feminism is no different.

Do you expect someone to still love you even if you cheat? Even if you go to prison for doing something stupid or awful? Even if you treat them like shit or show them that they aren’t a priority in your life? Relationships are two way streets, but I’d argue holding up your end of the commitment in a partnership isn’t merely transactional.

Every cake they’ve tasted devalues them in the eyes of a high quality man despite social media telling them this isn’t fair.

I agree 100% with everything you said, that’s why I said “strictly transactional”. Relationships are transactional, but that’s not the only thing that keeps them afloat in a healthy relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/23 05:53 PM
3

Of course relationships are transactional, it needs to benefit both partners or it’s not worth it. The only person who will give you true, selfless, unconditional love is your mother. I said “strictly transactional” because in a real relationship there are way more motivations involved than simply “I give you money, looks, and status, you give me sex”. Nobody is saying women don’t do whatever you watch them do on the internet. I’m saying that todays young men are conditioned to believe that love…

Name a way in which straight young men have been “uplifted” by the government in America. Since 1776, when the country was founded with straight old rich white men in power, we have seen nothing but improvements over time for women, people of color, and poor straight white men. Things were bad because life was bad at the time. Slavery was culturally normal in the new world, the same way it was in Asia, Africa, and parts of Europe and the same way it still is in Mauritius. Misogyny was normal, th…

I’m convinced that porn and social media have shaped at least half of the male viewpoints on here. For every reasonable take you see from men on here, you see two guys that see women as objects and relationships as strictly transactional. I’m convinced they aren’t meeting actual women so their image of women is that of an onlyfans girl.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/23 02:54 PM

If you meet them on dating apps, they’re probably fucking around. If you meet them at a bar, they’re less likely to be fucking around but still pretty likely. If you meet them through friends or at an activity you enjoy, it’s probably your best bet to meet a decent man who actually wants a relationship. None of these rules are set in stone. I’m also in my late 20s and spent most of my 20s fucking around. During the COVID lockdown in a major city metro area and after all of those years of casual …

I’m guessing you’re pretty young, so I’m gonna let you in on a secret. Don’t have sex until there is a commitment in place. What that looks like is up to you, but if you want it to be labels, saying I love you, meeting each others friends or families, etc. that’s your choice. You want to see if a man really likes you or is using you, you’ll know pretty fast when you make him wait for it.

I hate when people say this on Reddit, but think you actually need to hear it. Touch some grass man. Either you got cheated on and have gone way too far trying to understand why, or the more likely scenario, you’re blackpill and for some reason are trying to convince men they shouldn’t ever have relationships because of the threat that they might get cheated on during that relationship. Literally the same risk women take in a relationship.

It has nothing to do with power. Progressives love to talk about systemic issues. Our current order, in the United States at least we have a broken system of raising men. It’s not broken for women, they’re doing better than ever. We need to recalibrate as a society, acknowledge that boys should not pay for the sins of their grandfathers. The things fathers learned from their fathers are now “problematic”, and if you teach them to your kids, you’re part of the problem. I know when I started in th…

This reminds me of something I saw on Bill Maher recently. This NYU Marketing professor/author was on last year and again last month, and has talked about men’s issues both times. He addresses how the left has abandoned or “doesn’t like to talk about” men’s issues. How that has led to young, lonely, angry, and violent men and has caused a litany of other issues in society. He also addresses how young men have turned to Internet personalities like Andrew Tate because they “try to help”. He rightf…

Easy answer. Women date horizontally or up in terms of socioeconomic status, and men horizontally or down. They’re not attracted to poor men from outside of the west. Men simply don’t care about that. We’re happy to meet a feminine, caring, and respectful partner wherever they’re from. It just so happens that’s usually a set of features exemplified by women from developing nations, and not women from developed nations.

This whole site is just women assuming men think and act like them. If a man cheats it’s because he desires variety in his sex life and thinks he can get away with it. Women cheat because they desire security while always looking for an upgrade.

Wtf outside of the Manosphere, nobody looks at you as breeding stock. They have a more realistic view of their place in the dating market after gaining experience and no longer turn away options they once thought they can do better than. I mean it’s the exact same as women with men. First of all, most married men don’t jeopardize their relationships to fuck party girls and strippers just like most married women aren’t going to cheat with Chad. Some do, for sure. We call them shitty people. Men don’t want to be the one who is settled for the same way women don’t want to be that. To think that a cute or pretty woman can’t also be hot or sexy is dumb. Most men don’t see women as good breeding stock like the top comment asserts. The…

I’m not TRP, but one of my good friends was and I can guarantee you most women see him as hot and compare him to Thor. The fact is, he got cheated on by a hot girl and it made him distrust all women. That’s how he ended up on TRP, and you’d be surprised at how many men have these stories. Why? Because before it was illegal to research these things, studies found that there’s no more likely time for any individual to cheat than an ovulating woman who is not attracted to her current partner at the…

Haha fair enough, but I have plenty of friends around my size (5’11”), give or take a few inches, who have nerdy habits and still attract attractive women. I mean of course. Improve yourself, but for those who try and fail or succeed and still get no interest at 24 years old, just know it gets easier. Women have the upper hand in dating until one day they wake up and they just don’t anymore. One of the best jokes I’ve ever seen from a female standup comedian is one where the comedian (I don’t remember her name unfortunately) says that watching the Super Bowl every year she feels bad for the players because they face they same plight as women. Lying to get laid is not rape. It’s scummy, sure, but it’s not rape. In the US at least. “American laws generally make two kinds of sexual deception illegal: cases where someone impersonates a person's partner (by sneaking into their bedroom at night, for instance), and cases where someone such as a doctor tricks a patient into thinking a sex act is actually some sort of medical procedure.” Telling you what you want to hear so you fuck them is not rape. You don’t get to define rape. Stop making …

No joke. Henry Cavill is a gamer. I’m friends with a 6’5” 275 lb former D1 defensive linemen who has women all over him that still does weekly raids and has since middle school. The key is to have more than just nerdy hobbies. I play video games, my fiancé thinks they’re dumb, but I also surf and she thinks that’s hot. Own who you are. Be confident in yourself and defend your interests, but also keep yourself active, maximize your physical attractiveness, and show her that you enjoy her company.

Time is big. Young men obviously resent this. Watching more attractive guys get laid left and right while they can’t even get a date. What they don’t realize is as time ticks on, they become more desirable to women as they find success and the look that works for them, and women (fight me on this all you want) become less desirable to men as their youthful beauty fades and their most desirable options from their 20s are spoken for. That’s when average men begin to enjoy dating. 28+ it gets much …

I’m honestly stunned at how we’re back here. This team of random college researchers from the UK are probably not incels, and didn’t invent the 80/20 rule. I can find references to it on the first page of a Google search as far back as 2008. Tyler Perry has his own version of the 80/20 rule about cheating. It’s not a law, it is a rule. It’s a guideline that holds mostly true throughout nature. It’s not a firm number that isn’t adjusted, but it’s very real and most women choose to ignore it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/23 04:13 PM

The 80/20 rule has nothing to do with men being interested in looks. It says 80% of women chase 20% of men leaving 20% of women for 80% of men to pursue. Also idk why you posted that study because it has no relevance for anything we’re talking about…

The 80/20 rule is the Pareto Principle lol. It’s a statistical observation that most things in the natural world aren’t distributed evenly… including sex. The guy who created it was a 19th/20th century economist. Wtf are you talking about?

The unfortunate truth is that red pill started as a self-improvement strategy based on biological truths. It has turned into a pity party for divorced men or angry virgins (not trying to shame anyone, I was the same in college). As a man, I can tell you it’s simple why most men get married. Life slows down as you get older and you want someone to share your life with. That’s the answer. For some people it’s a dealbreaker, for others it’s not. We’ve fallen into this weird national trend of telling other people how they should behave. Don’t let people abuse you and don’t abuse them. Otherwise there are no set rules in finding love.

This is such a strange post. I don’t get it. If you feel a woman is using you as a backup/safety plan because past relationships didn’t workout, then why would you stay with her? If you’re no longer attracted to her within 6 months, then why would you stay with her? I’m not going to shame someone for having physical standards, but it’s hard to believe that relationship is real in the first place because like you, she won’t look 25 forever. I’m not religious, I’m an atheist. I also don’t think sex is bad. I think it takes a very damaged person to continuously seek out validation through others while already in a relationship. The fact is, you’re using other people, objectifying them because on some level you don’t think your partner is enough. Which means you don’t really love that partner in the first place. This is making me think of the Black Mirror episode where the two male friends fuck each other in the fighting video game. It ruins their actual real life relationships. The one guy can’t get hard for his wife anymore and the other guy can’t find anyone or anything to replace the feeling. For me, polyamory stems from the same place as sex or porn addiction, or more sinisterly, pedophilia. From the inability to control one’s sexual impulses. It says women under 30. Everyone knows women date older and men date younger. Sure there are men juggling multiple women under the guise of being in relationships, but that isn’t the majority of that disparity. You may not like it, but you’re more appealing to women when you’re in your 30s than when you’re just another run of the mill desperate 20 something man without much to offer.

Some women want traditionally masculine men, probably most. That helps a lot when cold approaching, also being tall helps with being less intimidated by approaching women or for those weird social media ruined girls who are obsessed with using men as photo props (basically the female equivalents of Dan Bilzerian). What most men don’t understand is that normal women legitimately can and do fall for guys for other attributes besides appearance, because we look primarily for appearance. We all know…

I love reading Mark Manson in general and wish I could have discovered his work at your age. I think you already understand what you need to do to get rid of that mindset.
