I have court later this month because I owe $3,000 in arrears. My child support that was being garnished from my active army pay was stopped for some reason when I was honorably discharged with a 90% disability rating and my pay went from DoD to VA. Now my VA disability will be probably be garnished at a higher rate than is the standard to make up for the money I owe from the system fucking my shit up. That was one of the first things that I did...which also a double edge sword since it comes acrosss as you looking to avoid taking responsibility for the child.

Wow, didn't expect this to launch a petition, but alright. So anyway, to answer some of the comments here...yes, obviously I don't expect my child support payment to change automatically with my change in income. I have not yet contacted them because despite knowing that I'm getting my clearing papers next week, I do not yet have an exact date on when I start terminal leave, therefore not knowing what day my terminal leave will end, and when my income will officially change.
