No I get your point, I'm just amazed that you dropped your entire goal plan for the day because somebody other than you wasn't "confident." It doesn't sound like she was lacking integrity as much as she just made a waiting time off the top of her head because she has a boring job. She didn't care if you left or stayed. It says much more about your situation that you let her mood dictate your desire to get a haircut.

...hence, the well-known phrase, fake it till you make it. That's what it means.

Yeah I agree, that was really stupid of you. 20 minutes is nothing, most people wait longer. I have a lot of confidence issues but if she said that I would have quickly said, "alright, sounds good."

It's sort of funny how you're this guy named TRP_, and while introducing me, you're like immediately giving up TRP! Anyways I don't know how one could ever jump into such a spiteful ideology, considering how many successful people don't think this way at all. It seems like TRP comes from rumination based on inexperience; men and women are hard to understand but women in reality are just different than the picture painted there.

Well I found out from some link like everyone else, but I found it before red or blue pill. It just seems confusing not to have any explanation among the meticulous side bar for people somehow out of the loop.

To anybody downvoting this: have you or have you not been on a dating website? Respect this guy's opinion, because he has.

I hope to, then I can participate in grown-up activities like paying attention and grasping sarcasm.

It really is. I think the key here is confidence, knowing how to navigate a successful conversation because you like doing it, because you know you're good at it. Even if you're not, you will be with confidence.

I suppose I still equate "awkward" silence with my own failure to be engaging I see this problem all the time, I wish more people would come to terms and accept silence as an occasional positive. I had a friend who thought this way, so all conversation with him ended up banal and forced until something actually interested happened.

I disagree that this is the only option. I completely use being funny, but I'm not about to make a corny sex joke because it's not who I am. What you ought to do is remain clever, but get closer over time maintain physical contact. That's all you need to do, unless you're physically unappealing or something.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
