Are you serious? No competitive lawyer would take on this case unless you were throwing piles of money at them for wasting their time.

No sane lawyer will take on this case without getting paid for the other lucrative cases they could take on during the same time and possibly win. This is a losing case. Really.

I agree with this point, insofar as he didn't "work" for the money (a lot of wealthy people won the lottery by birth though). I think what you should take offense to is that he is essentially his wife's property in this instance

Unknowable rhetorical questions: you're doing them right

I support your decision. It seems right for you, given your attitude about it. Just don't assume it's the right choice for everyone else, or that all women are pro-marriage. This is a nuanced issue. I don't plan on ever getting married, personally, but I understand why men and women would want to (beyond the tax benefits).

53% of all marriages end in divorce but that means that 47% don't end in divorce. You seem defeated before you even have begun to play the game.

As if this guy's life didn't already suck enough! Used to share a room with the greatest cricket player ever and then In 2002, his cricket career stopped on a dime following a collision between his motorcycle and a tanker. He sustained multiple brain and leg injuries. He, in fact, was in coma for four months. He was treated at hospitals in Ahmedabad, Mumbai and UK, and he underwent at least four surgeries. Sad story

The content of the law and the content of this article are well-intentioned but ultimately very offensive.

I can't find the actual Danish report...I don't read Danish particularly well though. And a quick review of some internets yielded mixed results on the sperm count debacle; mostly pundits seem to be using this to slightly frighten people. You can still have babies!

this this this this, i think it's totally this. getting porn in 1989? kind of a hassle. getting porn in 2009? ten keystrokes.

Just what I most feared, a US government takeover of penises. I just hope the law isn't retroactive.

She didn't really seem to be like "oh yeah I was raped" but more like "oh yeah I was fucking stupid". I know you guys are all about sensationalism but this is a bit ridiculous, no one convinced her she was raped. They might have convinced her she's got a drug problem though.

This made me sick to my stomach

this is insanely infuriating. i agree that all parties should be anonymous until the case is over. there is NO reason for rape to be a big-time public media circus.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
