Who says it should feel natural/normal to you? If you haven't ridden a bicycle it won't be natural to you to be good at it from the first try.

Talk to everyone you can. Make comments, compliments to random people on public transport, while waiting in a line, stores, coffee shops, etc. If you practice having small talk and mini conversations with random people, you will get out of your head and gain social momentum. Momentum will allow you to feel natural to start a conversation with pretty much anyone. edit: you don't need some special texting skills, texting is just a tool to agree on where and when to hangout

By asking questions you take. When talking to girls online focus on giving. Offer value and focus on your goal - to meet up. Don't chat too long, try to get her to meet you.

Lower your criteria for success. Every time you approach - you win already. First 3 approaches don't count. Warm up before the club by giving compliments to random people. When you get inside the club don't walk around scanning people, approach the first girl you see.

Lower a criteria for your success. Everytime you approach a woman you already won.

Yes, you can befriend her and make it clear that you're just coworkers. You will stand out from other creepy "nice" guys that have a hidden agenda.

I prefer to never have any romantic relationship with coworkers because eventually it complicates things. Don't shit where you eat. Keep it friendly, light-hearted and professional. There are so many women around, meet them outside your work.

Don't try to hit on your coworkers, instead focus on cold approach

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
