Please just remember that just because you haven't followed the "ideal" path, doesn't mean you don't deserve/won't find true happiness.

In order for this to switch back, one of you needs to venture into uncomfortable territory for a while. Either you go back to being a submissive girlfriend while he's still not leading, suffering the consequence of him floundering around for a while, or he has to start leading while you're still being headstrong, suffering the consequence of a period of intense conflict with a bull-headed you. The second option sure would garner his respect from you, but it would cause major tension in your rela…

stop logging in entirely continue going on dates with him as usual for now when you feel comfortable/ready, ask him what he's looking for/where this is going don't have sex with him until/unless you guys define your relationship as exclusive be willing and prepared to move on if he gives you the runaround or shows hesitation to commit after a reasonable amount of time ta-da! Other women don't factor into this at all.

I am so impressed at your capacity to turn tragedy into positive upwards motion! I want to be a 10 inside AND out before dating ever again. Just make sure you don't fall into the trap of waiting for perfection before you "truly start." Perfection will never come. You may meet someone under non-ideal circumstances. Being process-oriented instead of specific goal-oriented is in my opinion more emotionally healthy. That way, as long as you are making steps in the right direction, you are always suc…

I had no idea that blonde hair doesn't have enough pigment to attract the laser's heat, I had to google to figure out what you meant. Fascinating. Thank you for contributing to this discussion.

/r/RedPillWomen31/05/17 06:24 AM

I don't think so! I think I'm probably just not explaining it very well. I have...erm.... not the most difficult anatomy to work a razor blade around, but not the most simple, either.
/r/RedPillWomen31/05/17 05:39 AM

I am a fellow non-hairy-legged girl. Eyo. I make up for it in eyebrow growth rate... RE: shaving tricky parts - I've never had an issue when I stick a leg up high on the soap ledge. Shave from the front to the back with the razor handle pulling backwards like you would with toilet paper, but your hand in between your legs from the front. At least, that's what I do. Using a fresh razor really helps remove the razor burn and ingrown hairs. NEVER shave against the grain. Invest in a safety razor, o…

Interesting! Every guy I have been with has expressed a strong preference for 100% bare, with the exception of Z (my current partner) who wants me to keep it however I like it as long as it's at least somewhat neat. I have just reached a point where I am comfortable being intimate with a week's worth of stubble with him. I haven't let it grow past that in years - old habits... that being said, there's something so attractive about a man who looks at you like you're nuts when you tell him you're …

High five for not buying in to shaving creams :) I shave with plain soap too!
/r/RedPillWomen31/05/17 03:14 AM

As someone who has never plucked nor waxed underarms I... I simply don't understand. My armpits go from perfectly smooth to totally gross in about 2.5 days. Plucking?! Like min. 250 hairs each?! My eyes welt up from just plucking my eyebrows! That seems like torture! And so does waiting for them to grow long enough to wax! I might be overthinking this.

How long have you two been together? If you guys are in a committed, stable, exclusive, long-term relationship now, and he doesn't balk at making long-term future plans with you and is open to having conversations about both of your expectations going forward (including eventual marriage), then don't get too hung up on how it started and lamenting about the fact that he didn't know you were going to be his wife the minute he met you. Those are guidelines. While I'm sure everyone would prefer the…

I typically dislike pet names. I swoon when I hear his lips say my name! That being said, Z occasionally calls me "love." "Goodmorning love" is pretty much what I live for. We both despise the word "babe" and occasionally use it ironically when one of us has irked the other (in a joking way). "Thanks babe." X)

To me, lying is the betraying factor. Z has slept with other women since we've been together, but I always know beforehand. If he tried to keep something from me and I found out about it later, I don't think I would stay. But, he has no reason to, since if he's upfront about it then I take no issue.

Piano is a really intricate instrument. I play a bit of guitar too but in my opinion piano is really valuable for younger kids because learning to control your hands doing two different things simultaneously to that extent really progresses overall mental development. Plus once you learn piano it's much easier to transition to guitar or other similar instruments, not so much the other way around. Piano was always seen as the baseline in my home, even my brother learned the basics as a child thou…

No such formula could ever account for the variation of meeting someone who you just instantly "click" with, just bear that in mind, sometimes that ends up being the most important factor. Important enough to compromise on one or two of the things you thought you never could.

I have an I-need-attention "hmph" sound. Z says he loves that I signify it so clearly, he always knows, as opposed to his exes, who threw bitch-fits to engage him because they didn't know how to ask for positive attention (so they created negative attention). He never disappoints. If I ever "hmph" him in this specific way, he puts down everything and focuses on me even if it's only rubbing my back for 5 minutes or so. I don't overuse this power. Plus he finds it cute.

Love it! May I add one of my own? "I told ya so!" One time and one time only I said that to my man. He already knew after tasting our mushroom stroganoff sauce that he added too much sugar. His face when I said I had warned him not to add more than a teaspoon said it all... so happy it was said in such an inconsequential context, and hopefully soon forgotten by him. I can't imagine the pain I would have inflicted on my poor handsome guy if I had said it about something more serious. Definitely a…

Speak for yourself. I operate within my own frame in lots of relationships in my life. I just choose to operate within my man's frame in my romantic relationship.
/r/RedPillWomen20/04/17 02:54 AM

I fell in love one evening when my man calmly sat up behind me in bed, positioned me in front of him between his legs, and without a word gently started un-doing my long braid to help me get ready for bed. It was so intimate, and took me by such surprise, that I absolutely melted. He says he fell in love with me one sunny Saturday morning, a few weeks into dating, while we were driving around to different yard sales in his neighborhood. I remember this day, we didn't know each other very well ye…
/r/RedPillWomen18/04/17 06:35 PM

Jokes are supposed to be funny to both people, if he keeps saying that knowing how you feel he's not funny he's just an ass. I had an ex like that - "I'm just joking! It was just a joke!" Nah... turns out he just didn't really care about the minor things that were important to me, that I asked he make important to him.
/r/RedPillWomen12/04/17 05:12 PM

Can't you just ignore him for a while afterwards? If asking him to stop hasn't worked yet ("he's working on it"), just withdraw your attention/affection from him. This is usually the tip given to men whose women are doing something they don't like, but only somebody totally socially inept would continue making the same joke to and then cracking up at a person who is blinking blankly back at them and then going to go focus on something else. I'm not encouraging you to play games, I just mean reac…

Going back to try again with an ex it didn't work out with is like going to check out a foundation for a house, figuring out it's all uneven and chipping, having the opportunity to go stand on foundations that are perfectly smooth with no faults or cracks, but then deciding to build your future house on the wonky foundation anyways. Just- ugh, why? Best case scenario still features a less than ideal foundation.

I don't know what you're stressing about. He clearly picked you and your children and it's not like he doesn't know you're not going to be getting younger. Keep being infatuated with him and recognizing how good he is to/for you. Keep treating him like he's your 10. And don't let up on self-keep, both physical and in regards to your attitude. It sounds like he's pretty loyal considering he's acting dad to kids who are not his own, so it's just empty to worry about him wanting better when he rais…

You swung to -100, realized your mistakes, and now you want to overcorrect all the way to +100. In reality, the 0 ground is the most reasonable path that will bring you the most peace. I agree with /u/teaandtalk: vet, vet, vet, and hold out for sex until you're in a committed, exclusive relationship. Be careful with who you let into your bed, but don't have unrealistic expectations.
/r/RedPillWomen12/02/17 12:41 AM

Oh man, I would despise this haha. I suppose your username is relevant...happy you're happy!
/r/RedPillWomen10/02/17 05:38 AM

Haha no, he was very adamant that I completely blindsided/ambushed him with the breakup, and we no longer speak (not that I have any desire or need to). So - don't convenience date. Find someone who makes you go "OH BOY! :D" on the inside, and has fundamentally similar values to you.
/r/RedPillWomen10/02/17 05:26 AM

I asked myself this question every day for months after the breakup. I was a teenager when we started dating, and it started off slow, we didn't call each other bf/gf until ~6 months, didn't say I love you until 2 years... I guess I kind of just fell into it, and was loyal to a fault towards someone I didn't vet properly. I could have been pickier. I did love him (though it was more like wading into a love out of necessity rather than falling into it, now that I look back), but we were a bad mat…

In my experience I haven't had anything good come from just "going with the flow" with a guy I'm only mildly into from the beginning. I did this with my last relationship, enjoying having someone there and thinking it would blossom. I dated him for 5 years and moved in with him. ...I should have listened to my gut from the beginning. Talk about wasted time (not really- I took the lessons I needed from the experience, but you get what I'm saying). Your guy should truly excite you, especially in t…

Take that checklist in your head and start to categorize it into "facts" vs "opinions." We all learned as kids the inarguable difference between a fact and an opinion, right? Well the facts of your checklist are the must-haves: things like a stable income, emotional availability/maturity, and perhaps one or two things personal to yourself (for example, if you have 3 dogs and owning dogs is intrinsic to your personality, Mr. Right can't possibly be a guy who is allergic to dogs). The opinions of …

Dating, in a non-exclusive sense. Going on dates with one man, but he's not her boyfriend yet. Vetting to see if they match enough to go exclusive.
/r/RedPillWomen09/02/17 11:07 PM

No, I don't think my SO has ever done that. He's asked me not to change things ("don't cut your really long hair!"). And he's suggested I try new things ("I want to see you in a crop top, you should get some for summer") but in a situations like you describe above, I think he would just laugh at me every time I went to/did yoga, or he'd compliment me when I dressed glam, or he'd tickle me and tell me to pre-game a shot or two before going out so I'm more bubbly. Exercise isn't making you gain weight - at all. Exercise can prompt you to eat more calories to make up for your exhaustion, and eating at a caloric surplus is making you gain weight. Exercise has LOTS of physical benefits but if all you want to do is lose weight, you don't have to do anything besides eat less than your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure). The slower the rate at which you lose the more likely it is to be sustainable and prevent you from having breakdown binges. Use an app like…

I don't think you should be asking your husband if you've been doing a good job and if he has noticed you working on yourself - I think this is what led him to call you fake. I reckon he wants a genuinely happy wife, not one that checks in with him about whether she's been 'happy enough' or whatever, as though she has the capability to adjust based on his answer. That feels mechanical: "Request feedback. Process. Turn 'happiness' dial up 1.5 notches to satisfy man." Ehh... Just work on being hap…

OP: So my tl;dr I guess is that how do you girls stay focused on being the best woman you can be rather than getting distracted by boys and hormones? The sentence in my comment to which you refer was part of my personal answer to her. I think everything you said is a matter of individual preference/opinion. And I don't think masturbation is a true substitute for being with another person for anyone.
/r/RedPillWomen19/01/17 01:11 AM

I think it builds character to actively (occasionally, and with moderation) deny yourself a luxury. And being with someone, having sex, being touched and held, and burying your face into a man's shirt to smell him are luxuries, not necessities. Think about how much ecstasy you'll be in when, after this period of non-dating, once you are ready to be in a serious relationship again, you are able to release all of this passion and tension with someone who really deserves it and will be a long-term …

Using a very sharp razor every time you shave down there might help with the ingrown hairs. I recommend buying a safety razor - not only are they easier and cheaper to keep sharp due to changing just the blade out, but they're also much more environmentally friendly than buying disposable razors with plastic handles. 100 new super sharp blades are like $10. Please be careful not to harm yourself though, as goes without saying for any blade.

Thank you so much for sharing! I completely agree with you about it all being about timing for each individual. Perhaps you still would have been perfect for him if he had met you a few years earlier, but the party animal would have passed on you just for the sake of more experience with other women. Like your husband, I didn't want a future family until I met the man I'm currently dating either.

I understand all of these points, and I don't read TRP (though I do sometimes lurk MRP out of curiosity). I'm certainly not saying anything along the lines of young men shouldn't focus on plate spinning and I think I support your first point that 18-22 year old guys don't have any business getting engaged and married when I say that the guys in TRP don't provide a very good match for a RPW looking to settle down. If he's having financial issues/a rough patch right now he might be choosing to go smoke with his buddies late into the night because it's cheaper than taking you out to dinner, and stressing that he prefers nights at home with you because he's feeling embarrassed he can't afford to do 1-3x weekly dinners out. If not that, maybe he feels like staying in more is what happens when a relationship gets more serious. It might be a positive in his eyes, like, we're getting so much closer that our rati…

I met my current boyfriend by walking up to him, a handsome complete stranger seated with all of his buddies drinking beer, and taking his hand without a word. We spent over 2 hours together that night and he got my number and texted me immediately setting up a first real date the following week. He says he was smitten, that it was the single most blatant way he's ever been 'hit on' by a woman and that really captivated his attention. I read a quote once, something like we tend to judge others as a finished product while giving ourselves the leniency to be a work-in-progress. Try and keep in mind that he's a work-in-progress in his life, too. I say if your personalities vibe that well, go on a few more dates. No, lifting for women is not different than lifting for me. You're right, it would work the same. The 1g protein/lb of bodyweight is grossly overexaggerated. Can't link right now but studies show 0.6g protein per pound of lean body mass is more than sufficient for muscle growth. 0.8g if you're being extra sure. So if I weigh 145 (example) and estimate that I'm around 22% body fat (that's not very much for a woman - look up body fat composition charts to estimate your own), that means I don't rea…

Edits are in italics Meal timing makes no difference on fat loss or muscle gain. Eat whenever. I prefer to work out fasted because food in my stomach when I run makes me sick but you may find a banana or even a full meal a few hours beforehand makes your workouts more efficient because you have more energy. This is exactly how I feel! Z is at similar numbers as your man, and I am happily slightly-jealous to know he's had his fun and now wants to be with me. I want a guy who naturally has that visceral energy pounding through him and tames it to become a one-woman guy once he's had his fill of indulgences. If you really are feeling the dread, just cancel. If you're just on the fence, go and either 1) be pleasantly surprised by how he has changed, see if your fire for him is re-lit, or 2) see how he hasn't changed at all, and use it as solid proof that you need to start trusting your gut from the beginning going forward with other men. Also nothing is stopping you from only meeting with him once, either Saturday night or Sunday morning. You aren't obligated to entertain him at all, let alone all we…

If he's a hard gainer, chickpeas are really calorie and protein dense. I like to open 2 cans, drain them, mash them roughly with a potato masher, and then add chopped celery, pickles, and red onions, and season with some mayo, mustard, salt, and pepper. I usually also add cumin and paprika, because I really like those flavors. It becomes a sort of "tuna salad" that is really fantastic in sandwiches/wraps that doesn't have that "I feel weird about smelling like fish at work" aspect to it. My guy …

Based on your bulletpoints, at this point I would probably do something like get all wiggly-shy-cute during some lull in conversation when hanging out face to face and say something like, "so, my friend asked me if you were my official boyfriend yet... are you?" Or, "I was telling my friend that my boyfriend..." and then mock-embarrassingly clamp my hand over my mouth and peer at him to gauge his reaction. Either way the conversation about official titles/exclusivity gets started. But I typicall…

To me, it sounds like he is showing interest but may be erring too heavy on the side of not being pushy and risk making you feel uncomfortable, which isn't a bad thing! I would text him and reiterate that you enjoyed spending time with him on Saturday, and that you're free this week on Wednesday and Sunday, and let him take the reins from there :) I'm sure he'll ask if you'd like to get together one of those days.

You are asking as if anyone wouldn't love a good read like that!

I agree! Wet noodle haha. Caricature is a good descriptor in this scenario I think because I don't believe a true 100% exists in any one person, so I was definitely speaking hypothetically.

This is more along the lines of what I was thinking! Sort of, while a 100% alpha might be an narcissistic playboy, a 100% RPW might be completely devoid of personality.

Ah, of course, extreme feminist as the female version of the 100% alpha man is a great point. I guess I was just thinking more linearly, analogous to the beta:alpha ratio in men. Maybe the female equivalent linear scale is the feminist:RPW ratio, with the sweet spot for most men being mostly RPW but not to the extent of boredom and no personality of convictions of her own.

Thanks for your response! Makes me wonder, so is there no "negative" (for lack of a better term...maybe undesireable?) end of the spectrum in terms of redpill-ness for women, unlike how there is for men?

Hello there! 24F. First generation immigrant with very traditional parents, still together for 40+ years. Extremely assimilated into Western culture - you would not know I was not born in the US if we met. ~1 year out of a 5 year relationship that I ended because I realized I was too trusting in an incompetent leader. Still working through some self-confidence and anger (at myself, for ignoring my gut from the beginning) issues surrounding that situation. ~6 months into a relationship with 28M t…

Just being honest - I absolutely judge others by the company they keep. I do lose respect for close friends when I see their boyfriends or husbands acting appallingly, and them turning a blind eye. I think I probably prioritize manners much more than average. Finding someone on the same level concerning manners has instantly lifted 70% of my relationship stress. I feel like a new person. I am never worried about internally disagreeing with my man's behavior. I am never tense in a group setting w…

I was in a relationship where there were far too many things like this that simply "bothered me" about him, I felt they were tacky, distasteful, and oftentimes downright rude. It led to resentment and I ended up leaving because I realized it was not my responsibility to teach a grown man manners. This was not the only or even the main factor that led to my ending things, but it did play a part. I kept thinking, "How am I going to explain to my future children that this isn't an acceptable patter…

Oh my gosh this is laughably bad advice... man's having problems at work, feeling sensitive in the bedroom... then casually finds his wife watching hardcore porn. LOL! Do you think his response will really be "hmm she likes this? Maybe I should try this!" No.

I get that, sure. I think everyone should train with the intent of reaching their absolute physical peak. And there's no use in comparing the physical peaks of men and women. The overwhelming average outcome is physical superiority in the male gender.

Lmao. The comparison to the Men's Finals is definitely laughable. Out of curiosity, do you (the collective you - anyone reading this) believe this serves as proof that women just shouldn't take up hobbies like this to begin with? Considering the disconnect of sheer physical ability between the genders.

Um... the flu, probably, or an equal-type illness involving violent body reactions. Or that one day a year where you get home so tired you're about to burst into tears that you're not currently immediately already asleep. But why would I be with someone who sees me in those states, and still tries to initiate sex to the point that I have to say no? Also some nights are cuddle nights by nature, and sex is not initiated by either party for one reason or another. That reason just isn't because the …

Well, please don't give this impression that everything is hopeless. She came to this sub probably because the RPW frame of mind is appealing in terms of dealing with her problem. So there is something RPW issue here, at minimum her desire to address this issue with a RPW frame.

Haha maybe but I like getting all warm and clean in the shower first, crawling into bed naked, and then passing out for a nap immediately after without having to get up again. It feels seamless to me that way.
/r/RedPillWomen

Shower, masturbate, nap. I can fit all three in an hour when I have to and I usually wake up with my emotional state totally reset. EDIT: The above advice is for when I'm feeling particularly funky and need to snap out of it before I text my boyfriend a novel about how emotionally overwhelmed I feel. If I am just at home feeling tense and worried, I put on a podcast and tidy up my room. I can zone out, and by the end just existing in a cleaner space helps refresh my head.
