I don't see this as being unique to women. I think far more men are this way than women actually, wanting to focus on career, travel, and fuck around until they feel they have their life sorted and are ready for a committed relationship. And men have the blessing of time. I do think more and more women are realizing though that they don't need to be in a relationship or get married or have kids or play housewife. For many women this is not appealing, hence the comfort in being single. Many women…

You've literally proven the point that no matter what size/shape you'll be, you won't be happy. In fact, I think you're less happy now because you sacrificed to change your body and you're still miserable. Get some therapy and stop projecting your insecurities onto others. You'll fail in every relationship with this level of self-hatred and entitlement.

Women are more financially independent than ever, so reducing them all to goldiggers not only is obviously dehumanizing and untrue to generalize like that, but it doesn't even make sense. I'm sure there are women who are "goldiggers" (a subjective term itself), and there are some women who still carry outdated expectations of being treated/paid for, but these attitudes are less popular than ever. As a woman, I also really hate the idea of strings being attached (or expectations being created) wh…

You all are literally the ones who shame your own! You're the ones who support the narrative that if a random dude isn't banging 20 chicks at once, doesn't have washboard abs, isn't making 6 figures, then he's a loser. YOU create and reinforce those narratives that dehumanize men (and women). And you're all fucking miserable trying to either meet those impossible standards or self loathe because you can't, and then you blame others when you in fact are supporting those awful ideas. There are no …

You don't count to them. RPers want to feel like all the "problems" they face (loneliness, not having sex, not making much money, feeling undervalued) is unique to them, and part of creating that narrative is discounting the experiences, individuality, and humanity of others (especially women). It would never occur to them that there's lots of women who are lonely, not having sex, and feeling undervalued (and increasingly so as RP has become more popular and women are feeling even less safe and …

You posted this knowing it would be strangers responding, and you asked for their insights...are you okay?

He does sound like he has bpd - I agree with your insights. I've known people with bpd as well.

He's saying in the comments that he "loves" this woman, yet he's saying how much he resents her and wants to break up with her...and they've only been dating two weeks...not healthy. He's gonna fight everyone who says that though.

You don't love this woman, dude. Love is not the same as obsession. You love the idea of her and your own fantasy of her, particularly since you're young and relatively inexperienced.

As long as Earth has people, it will suck. We may colonize Mars, but it will also suck because people will be there, and we're also gonna be eating shit potatoes.

Exactly. It's especially gross because you know the RPers who talk like this don't give a shit about kids or wanting to be a dad. They just like the idea of power and control it gives them, but ultimately they would still expect their wife to do all the child rearing. It's disturbing really.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
