This is a very common theme among the people who claim that their aim is to "dismantle traditional gender roles". Give them too much push back on any issue, and they quickly start attacking you for your (alleged) lack of conformance to masculine gender roles. I am responding to this part in Oncefa2's comment: That one guy is right (to a point); the lifetime CDC stats do have about 3 times as many female victims compared to men. If, for the sake of argument we accept this number as correct, then prevalence for men is X and prevalence for women is 3X. Since male and female populations are roughly equal, that brings men to a total of 25% of lifetime victims, according to the statistic mentioned above.

Even if the yearly data matched the lifetime data, that would still mean that men constitute 25% of victims. Nowhere near 25% of the empathy, attention or resources are being directed towards men. It's a really messed up case because functionally we have evidence that he is guilty (i.e. the evidence was sufficient for a court to convict), but the evidence is not admissible in court because it was obtained through violation of constitutional rights.
