I’m sorry, I’m going to disagree with that summary. That’s not what she said at all. She acknowledged that men DO have problems. Really big problems. And that men need to form new ideas on gender and their masculinity in a good way to help escape the very things they complain about (and rightfully so).

With all due respect, I am not being discriminatory whatsoever. Tell me what the male equivalent to tampons would be. Tell me how women uncontrollably bleeding is a privilege. Tell me how I argued that male hygiene products shouldn’t be provided to low income/homeless men. Many pharmacies DO offer free flu shots. Even if they didn’t, why is the fact that not every health hazard covered by welfare programs mean that a certain product can’t be? That logic is flawed. Your argument is the equivalent to this Not to mention that tissues cannot be compared to tampons. There is an extremely different context of function and price. Menstrual products are very expensive compared to a box of tissues at the dollar store.

They pretty much do. They distribute free needles in return for people disposing properly of theirs. A lot of universities and clinics give out free condoms (again, sex isn’t a necessity), and most clinics will distribute first aid products such as bandaids for free.

See, that’s where you’re wrong i’m afraid. As I said in another comment, tampons are needed to prevent a public health hazard. Without these products, women will bleed in public, on their clothes, park benches, buses, etc. It’s a huge mess, take it from a woman with experience. Probably going to get downvoted to oblivion, but this is a good thing. If you’re gunna say “then why don’t men get free condoms and razors???”, let’s think about that rationally. I’m guess I just literally can’t imagine why any person would randomly accuse a bus driver who’s helping them of rape. They literally have no gain from it.
