I think women do move through emotional trauma faster. This is due to the fact that women constantly talk in a language of emotion. We talk about feelings and relationships, it's our socialized language. As such, we work through the feelings with others and this allows for faster healing. We process emotional issues regularly. On the flip side, it's also why we get harassed by our bf's for wanting to rehash shit constantly. Sorry about your break-up.

Female here. When my guy friends ask this question I point them toward volunteering in something they like to do. Like to fish? Volunteer at the native fish society. Like computers? Volunteer at local organization that teaches or makes them from recycled parts. Like to read? Library. History buff? Historical society. Get it? For every interest or business there is a nonprofit.
